NUFC Sportswashing 2022

Sounds like they would be better off without him, have been much better with him out of the side this season and he doesn't look interested anymore.

Big wages but hard to shift after two poor seasons on the trot in his thirties.

Every agent will be sniffing round the mags trying to get clubs outcasts a move I would imagine.

If that's the calibre of player they're bringing in they'll piss survival tbh.
On paper yes, need to see where his heads at though, can remember hearing a story he was desperate to go back to AC Milan.

if the mags had any sort of transfer plan, they'd have signed Nathan Patterson instead of Trippier. Trippier is 30 year old and is costing the same as Patterson who is genuine quality which is ridiculous tbh.

Patterson will go for 30 or 40m and that's the sort of forward planning I didn't want to see at the mags.

wow just absolute wow. line in article-

'When it comes to feeling hard done by, Everton fans are in a class of their own ':Dl

I said when the takeover happened that nothing will please Newcastle fans and they will never be happy, if they sign Mbappe they will complain they didn’t didn’t Haaland too. Here they are complaining again! Didn’t realise Trippier is out of contract in a few months money well spent :lol::lol:

Great comeback

What they could do and what they will do are two different things though?
If you've got a huge bonus as an incentive then players would probably put a bit more graft in. It's not all about skill and tippy tappy shite, sometimes it's about the nitty gritty and making sure the basics are done along with a bit more.

That's why players who will come will probably put the graft in, especially if relegation also meant no bonus, a cut in wages, no trying to get top half of the Premier League for at least another season, players of a lesser calibre being attracted to a Championship team and also being labelled as a money grabbing mercenary failure.

I'd dare say a big part of the reason why players will come to NUFC is for the money because if other clubs were in for them, why take the risk of having to keep NUFC up and potentially failing and being labelled and laughed at for the rest of their career?

He’s flying out with Gabon soon wouldn’t be back until the end of January

If things go badly for them, it could be January 18th that they get knocked out. If, as is likely, they come third in the group, it'll depend on the other third place teams. They have Morocco and Ghana, who are both amongst the favourites, plus Comoros, who would normally be rank outsiders but have a squad full of French lower league players plus a striker who seems to be doing well at Red Star Belgrade (not sure if he's related to Billy Bragg).

Regardless, they'd be daft to push a deal through until after they're out of the ACON.

They were never going down anyway with Burnley, Watford and Norwich doomed
If the mags want to fill the team with over 30 year old mercanaries on ridiculous lucrative contracts they aren't getting near the top 6 anytime soon.
Particularly with Howe in charge

even worse! If it wasn't for them craving "names", they really should be targetting players like Patterson but Patterson isn't an England international so they'd rather spend the money on Trippier who'll have no sell on value and will need replaced in 2 years time.

Top 6 won't be their target for players they bring in now. They will bring them in with the aim to stay up and also probably be happy with comfortable mid table next season without any relegation worries (possibly a cup run). This will make the club 'more' attractive to other younger players in time if the money thrown about is silly enough.

They're obviously following a pattern with managers.

just baffles me why people keep questioning why they aint up their competing

they've had Van Gaal, Solskjaer and Ralf

Imagien Man City going near them

evenJose was on his way down

I dont get why they dont just appoint a world class manager like Conte, they have a good squad

Hillarious that Neville thinks it wont be a "good fit"

Mags written all over him.

Score a goal in each of his first 4 games, they will worship him. Then he will be caught out giving a knee trembler to Miss Newcastle in some posh Newcastle restaurant, she will sell her story for 56 quid to the sun and then he will go on loan to Wolfsburg.
