"People acting shocked when we have the most successful business people in the world at our club. They are no mugs, be patient the players will come"

I'd love to be in PIF's position - gifted billions by the Saudi state, gifted shares in Aramco....but you can't argue with these nutters. They are so myopic in their view.

Whilst I think Trippier has been a very good player, I just think it's a bad business move for them ! His age and sell on value just don't add up, and after you add on his wages too.....
They should be going for this Patterson lad who Everton are signing for me

Is he on about Slavery who tried to rinse Barclays and ended up getting rinsed herself? Or the Reubens who are gifted favours from Boris in return for their regular contributions to the Conservative party, and who also refuse to remove flammable cladding from their properties? Those successful business people?

They are spending 500bn on a new city to rival Qatar and Doha, shows what small fry Newcastle are to them.

The business prowess of our owners is frightening. They really are wealthy powerful people, and move in the best business circles in the world. (Just Google what they own and move around the world)
I'm confident in our long term future with this family owning us 😎

I suspect it is PIF.....who just happen to be born over an expanse of a scarce resource.

Michael Martin is a strange little man trying to wind up Sunderland fans by proclaiming that he doesn't know who any of our players are or manager is. Yet every man and his dog knows that he's absolutely obsessed with safc. Pretty tragic behaviour tbh

I can’t decide if you are a mag or is of us being sarcastic.

Decent price tbf if true. it'll be the ridiculous wages.

It won't just be the inflated wages as they could be offering something stupid like a £5m bonus if the Mags stay up (also throwing some £1m bonus at current players to keep them up).

Even if they got 6 decent players in then that's £30m bonus (plus say £20m split between current squad) which is well within budget. However that £50m will be a small price to pay long term compared to losing a shit load more if they go down and the potential delay and implications it could have on their 'project'. They could even be offering decent relegation clauses to players even if they go down to ensure they stay so can try to bounce back at the first attempt.

It will take a few 'decent' players to go there before a few more may well be tempted to join. Trippier is taking a small risk if he's the first as there's no guarantee yet that others will follow. They may end up panic buying in the last week throwing money all over the place and overpaying. They'll obviously looking to get players in who will keep them up so age/sell on etc isn't an issue short term. Even if they get 2 seasons out of the likes of Trippier then it's money well spent if they stay up and comfortably get mid table next season with a few more additions.

Of course this is all speculation and assumptions but it's clear some, if not all the players will be going there for the money. It would be amusing as owt for it to all go to shit in one way or another and they go down regardless and watch the meltdoooon! 😂

A couple would improve them Digne etc but I don’t think these are the players the smelliest fans (as voted by their own partners) in the league had in mind when they became the richest club in the world
