I’d love to see how they would explain away the involment of their tame MP. And the 100,000 plus signatures on the petition. The visit to parliament, the fact it was shut doesn’t mean it doesn’t count. And the tens of thousands of tweets. Plus all the tv footage of them poncing around dressed as camels and wearing tea towels on their heeds. Their head supporters home movies espousing Saudi culcha. Eating chicken and savoury rice with some random Middle Eastern dude. All the while dressed as Lawrence of suburbia. Plus all the other lunacy I can’t be arsed mentioning. It would be fascinating, but as you say, they’d give it a shot.

Yep, but would you find a single one who signed that petition, went on that protest or wore a tea towel? Nope.
Every single one would deny it, and claim it was a "minority of their fans" and that the "100000 signatures was made up by the media".

Nope, they'd all claim that they opposed the Saudis from day one.

Thing is, when Man City got it wrong, they could just keep buying till they got it right.
Hopefully, under FFP rules, the scum won't be able to do the same.

Man City also got a first class experienced manager (Mancini) to take them to the next level and keep the squad happy whilst big signings were arriving

After a year and half. Finished 10th first and were on a one win in 9 streak the following season before Mancio arrived.
Always happy to remind of how bad a job Hughes did there, can't stand to bloke

They are literally the worst fanbase possible to come into money, literally zero class or sense. They are the drunken gobshite who inherits a few quid who everybody avoids when he/she/it walks into the bar.

You see I like this forum, I'm a Mag never hid it as I'm not that sad, but. Literally any fanbase post takeover could be called the same, its not inclusive. Zero class or sense ha.

Remember when the Dell takeover was happening? If you don't I can link you to the posts which, literally say the same sort of shit.

It works both ways, we've got plenty of knaka's 'supporting' our respective clubs.

Its not Dell though is it?

“Some have sought to downplay the links between PIF and the Saudi state, the same state that punishes acts of homosexuality or cross-dressing with fines, public whipping, beatings, chemical castrations, imprisonment up to life, the death penalty and torture.

Chairman of the fund is the crown prince himself, Mohammed bin-Salman, the man who ordered the Jamal Khashoggi's killing

It is the fanfare, the Saudi flags in Twitter bios, and the pictures of MBS in profile photos, as well as the rejection of any form of criticism as some kind of propaganda, that asks the question of just what football fans are willing to turn a blind eye to in the name of future success on the pitch

No amount of mental gymnastics can change that fact, nor can the nauseating whataboutery regarding the equally awful ownership of Man City and PSG by Abu Dhabi and Qatar respectively

And so fans must make a decision. Turn away from the club with the same disgust so many expressed for Mike Ashley, or decide that you are comfortable with the fact that you're giving your money and your support to a despotic regime that just so happened to identify your club as the ideal vehicle to try and launder its reputation.”-
