Exactly. Can see all the current squad queuing up at Howe's door asking why they are getting £220k less a week than the new 31 year old defender...

Add 2 or 3 more players on daft wages and they will have a broken dressing room.

Can’t see the PL stopping them TBH. They’re up against an oil rich sovereign nation and our prime minister. Should have stood up to them when they had the chance. Cowards.

Can't understand why people are obsessed by his age. 31 is nowt really. Quality footballer, Chelsea & Man Utd both reported to be after him so hopefully he will end up in Manchester or London.

Once the big teams exert their huge influence on the PL, I've a feeling they will.
The last thing they'll want is a new kid on the block to threaten breaking into their little clique, and they'll do everything they can to prevent it.

He’s had a few injuries the past 2 seasons and has no pace to start off with. He’s only going to get slower and get more niggly injuries. Added he will have no sell on value it’s not a good deal financially.

He is however a good player and should improve them.
