I'm disappointed in Keith Downie like. Think I've mentioned before but used to play with the same amateur side as him up in Glasgow (Clydeside athletic). He was a decent striker, especially at holding up the ball.

He's a f***ing melt nowadays like. His mate Andy Newport, he's a sports reporter too but covers mostly rugby and other sports is absolutely sound as fuck. Big rangers fan is Andy, cant remember who keith actually 'supported', but he knew I was a Blackcat through and through and never said anything about the mags or ever tried to take the piss. It'll be sky and the money that's made him a mag arse licker.

Used to be a time they would like to have integrity and provide good articles.

With social media it's now what article will get the most comments/likes.

Obviously mags are a good target audience for easy likes/comments.

Just blow a bit of smoke up there arse or call Ashley/Sunderland that is getting plenty likes even before they open the article.

It will improve them this cash no doubt about it it’s when they get to say 6th to 8th will be the big test when the top players have a choice with them and others
Mags will demand league titles will criticise accordingly if they are not

You've hit the nail on the head there I think mate. I haven't kept in touch with keith tbh (when I played footy with him were talking around 2008ish, we were back up there with the mags mind, when Keane beat them at the SoL etc) but it's clearly just career driven and all about popularity and trying to break big stories.

Andy, who I'm still good pals with is the same in media but he normally reports and writes articles about big Scotland rugby games at murrayfield and things like the Olympics, but football is still his main love, I think that's not just about his ability but he's too one sided to cover footy (bit like a poor man's kris boyd if you like) cos he's the same as him and doesn't hide the fact he despises Celtic and refers to them all as 'bumble bees' 😂....because of those away Celtic tops that used to have like hiviz/bright green and black hoops on the old away tops.

I'd be the same against the barcodes if I went down the media route tbh. But construction is my game, thank god.

He’s after the inside track mate. He’s gambling on them buying success and he’ll want his place at the table. It has been suggested that most of the stuff being leaked from the mags goes from Slavery to him. Thing is If it goes tits up he’s burned a lot of bridges and lost most if not all credibility he may have had.
