They need to be careful else could end up playing away at Everton and Southampton on say Tuesday/Thursday of same week to get the season finished. There are going to be so many re arrangements that it's going to be tuoigh fitting them all in
they think come the close of the January window their team will be the noocassle galacticos...and will be swatting all comers

Trippier is a very good player. Will he come for a relegation battle though? Doubtful unless it’s one massive final payday.

Ramsey is just the kind of signing these deluded arseholes think should be playing week in week out for them without realising his work ethic (bar one good season) is shocking.

I hope they do sign so they are shafted with the FFP (if it even exists anymore)

if ashworth was so good why have one of the big clubs not snapped him up ?
Big clubs and/or their owners don’t like being told how to run themselves by the help as they think they already know. Dein/Wenger had a lot of in-house fighting to do in the early years. Fergie likewise.
That’s what makes Utds appointment of Rangnik so bizarre. Schalke are huge ower there but their upper echelons wadnt listen but hoffenheim , Leipzig and hundreds of young hungry German coaches did.
I believe KLD did anarl. I doubt a 50-60 year old grizzled business owner with a passion for football would be as open to new ideas as he seems to be. They’d be more likely to bring their methods from outside football or fall in line with prevailing wisdom.
We’ll get there.

Around 200 minutes on the pitch in the last 32 Juventus Serie A games, missing 13 of them and 12 of them keeping bench warm. So 7 appearances averaging less than 30 minutes since March 2021, all while picking up £400k a week. Over 50 Serie A appearances but only 3 full 90 games. He's averaged less than 45 mins per appearance in Seria A and also in all games at Juventus.

With those kind of stats, he will be a Michael Owen 2.0-type of signing. 🙏

Trippier has agreed to it it seems, unfortunately

This is what I have been telling the mags on twitter.

Aaron Ramsey is exactly the type of player they do not need. Likewise Dembele at Barca, Gareth Bale, Courtinho or any big name that teams want to offload expensive players. But reflective glory and becoming relevant is in the mag DNA. Being patient, as Dan Ashworth states, and building a long term plan is not in their DNA.

Jamos Rodriguez famously didn't even know that Everton were playing one week.

Can only imagine he’s doubling his wages then.

He’s one signing though who won’t pull them out the shite though. They need another 3 quality players and GK to sort that defence out.
I don't agree we necessarily need a goalkeeper urgently. Dubravka is good enough to see us through. We do however need an entire defence and cover in defence because all of those players are poor.

We also need another striker. Gayle was finished years ago. Wilson injured now is a real worry.

We will spend, but ultimately it won't be enough to fix the absolute state the squads in. We will go down.

You lot say that every year yet you often stay up comfortably

It's from last month and was in The Sun but sounds like Juve cant wait to get him off their books

If he’s on 165 grand a week at juve, there’s nee chance he’s going to sell his soul to satan and move to the caliphate for less money.

And come on at the end of the season acting all surprised and bashful. Utter Wankers.

Are no other clubs doing the same or is it just us?
I think a few clubs have tried to game the system (see the nearly full-strength sides Chelsea and Palace put out after being turned down for postponements). The issue is the lack of consistency and (that word again) transparency in why some clubs are allowed it and others aren't.

I think this one probably suited Benitez as much as Howe with Everton's own injury problems, Hassenhuttl will be rightly aggrieved if the Saints game is cancelled too though. It's obviously at the point now where too many clubs are taking the piss and there need to be much stricter criteria for postponements.
