As I've said it appears Newcastle and other clubs are exploiting a loophole to their advantage. @MackemX raised the point last night that manquillo probably got booked deliberately. I think there's some truth.
If it was a league cup or fa cup early round tie against a poor team from league two or non league there'd be teenagers getting a run out. I think the clubs should just field whoever is available. The premier league are letting clubs do this because the system is open to abuse

You have to have 13 outfield players from your 25 man squad.

We started that game with 16 outfield players available and lost 5. 4 injured and one suspended.

They are certainly not the only ones screwing the “system” ( whatever that is), but they must be the most blatant.
But they are the only ones I’ve seen trying to justify it by means of some yet undiscovered mathematical construction Stephen Hawking at his very best would be hard pressed to understand.

Up to now NUFC and Man CIty were the only PL teams not to have had a fixture postponed yet we are corrupt? Fuck off man!
