The referee made the right decision for the penalty against City. If you watch the highlights there is a camera angle (1:26 video below) that shows Fraser clearly played for a penalty. Nevertheless, City were in full control of the ball and it was wishful thinking for the mags ever believing they would receive a penalty.

Yeah im convinced Fraser Initiated contact instead of trying to avoid it

If it's those running the club putting a complaint in about refereeing standards should they not be more concerned about the teams playing standards and pointing the finger at Eddie Howe I mean conceding 11 goals in 3 games is just shocking tbh

Totally agree. Once Cancelo took control of the ball Ederson pulled his arms away, there was nothing else he could do to stop. Why didn't Fraser jump the keeper as the ball was no longer there to be won? He decided to run into Ederson to try and buy a pen.

Which is fine. But if that's the rule - then the mags will have a right to ask what was going on with the penalty against them v Leicester, when Maddison did the same thing (only far more blatant). Either they should have had a penalty against Man City, or a penalty was wrong awarded against them v Leicester. It has to be one or the other, and VAR is supposed to remove the "well the ref only gets one look at it" excuse.

I chuckle when things go against the mags as much as anyone else, but they have clearly been on the wrong end of some very ropey VAR decisions recently. VAR is an absolute joke - we should go back to letting officials make decisions.
