Not sure how this works and I know FFP is generally shit but if they're relegated then actually how much can they spend roughly ?

All championship clubs will hate them more than 1st div clubs dislike us :)

Look, you will not likely find many fans out there that love Milner more than me and whilst he would be a great influence around the place, we need impact on the pitch. Milner is nearly 36. Sadly, he is not that anymore.

I have read some shite takes on here before but this is right up there.

Milner captained Liverpool today and couldn’t get in your team!

If they weren't owned by the richest group in the world I'd agree, it's a completely different matter if they bring in a load of new players as the teams around them are as equally shite.
Issue they have is who will they attract, say Lingard, will cost around £5/10m as hes out of contract but they'll be up agaisnt West Ham and others, they'll need to offer better wages and relegation release clauses otherwise he'd never pick them. It'll either be players nobody else wants or overpay.

Then if they stay up next season they'll either be stuck with players who are bottom half level or overpaid players who are refusing to move on even if they are not getting games as nobody else will pay them what they are getting at Newcastle.

All of that messes with FFP and doesn't allow them to bring in better quality players if they do stay up. Being in the bottom 3 or the chance of being relegated when the window opens has screwed them, doesn't matter how much money they have.

They could loan the players but they would be up against the same issues with better clubs offering the players loan moves.

They'll find ways around FFP no doubt. Man City have, even PSG are still happily playing in the Champions League having spent a tonne.

When the commentator said during the match, Newcastle fans needed to be patient, more than a few on here said, “Newcastle fans, be patient” 😳😂
Its not in their make up, they want success and they want it now.
Aye so they can shove it up the corrupt PL.

You know, that same PL that passed a bid from a murdering, torturing regime who admitted to piracy....but paid it off so all good :)

Probably true, I can just see every team down there kicking up a fuss if they do splash the cash and nothing gets done, it's not like they are universally liked at the minute.

Fingers crossed if they do spend they still go down as its not a given they'll survive if they get highly paid players.
