Like Everton, who have spent 100m’s?

The Jan window will tell us everything. I sincerely hope I am right as the tea towel wearing fans will go mental when you are signing players you could have had under Ashley.
Agree. January will stop all of the speculation.

Not entirely sure what the thought process was with Eddie Howe.

Notoriously bad defensive manager in the PL inherits a team with a shocking defence. From what I've seen all he's done is move them up the pitch and expose those same weak links to more space.
They couldn't get anyone else, they buggered it up by sacking Bruce just to please the filthy fans, I would bet Howe was a lot further down the list than 8th, still no DOF but at least they got shot of the Sports-Direct signs and I bet that cost them a good few quid.
I really can't see the January window being anything other than a mess.

I’ve yet to meet/hear from any mag who’s spoken/demonstrated against this vile owner the way they did over Ashley. The prospect of buying success and being back in the media frenzy is all they crave. This utter shit of ‘we just want a team that tries’ doesn’t wash with anyone.
Nothing less than being in the same bracket as Man City Chelsea and Liverpool will suffice. Mags regard clubs like Leicester, Everton, Villa as inferior to them.
MP’s have ditched any morals they claim to have, the LBGT of Newcastle have withdrawn from their national organisation all to ‘support’ the new ownership for one reason ! Utter greed and the chant of richest club in the world sums up what your fans are interested in 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Pride certainly haven't they've just bent over backwards to accommodate

Exactly this - bizarre appointment. Smacks very clearly of utter cluelessness

Bloody great isn’t it 😅😅😅

This 110%

The likes of Emery being targeted made me think they were after a defensive manager looking to hit teams on the counter, exactly what they needed. Even Rafa would have made sense with their current team…but then they appointed Howe.

Howe is not a good manager for organising a defence, very stupid appointment unless they are just planning to get relegated which is an odd first target…

Your not going to get the heart and desire needed signing players who only join for money. See rodwell. Ok it's a miles smaller example but no way Ramsey would on a sane mindset join Newcastle right now other than for $$$
We need a competent CB.
Ramsay in Midfield and keep Wilson fit.
That would be enough to keep us up I reckon.
The bottom of the table are awful. Norwich, Watford and 1 from 3 or 4. Probably whichever teams does the worst business in January.

Next run of fixtures are Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Everton.

It will be a decent bet to predict they get zero points from this lot and will end up rooted to the bottom.

They fluked a small win against a fellow relegation struggler but it doesn't change the reality
