with Trippier Mee Tarkowski Lingard Ramsey and Dembele all arriving in the new year i think they'll avoid the drop
Most if not all of those players will have better offers in terms of clubs.

Wages maybe not but that would say more about the players real intention if they signed purely for money.

The appointment of bang average Eddie Howe and his completely predictable underwhelming new manager bounce is certainly keeping Sunderland fans entertained and hopeful of the worst possible outcome being achieved.
I particularly enjoyed the richest club in the world scouring the planet for the very best football management talent, coming up with unemployed Eddie, and then it turns out Ralf Rangnick was available all along😀.He must have ran out of charge on his phone when Amanda was calling😀

This window would be an extremely difficult challenge for a highly competent director of football. It'll be very interesting to see how A&E approach it, whether they will overpay for top players or whether they sign championship players and how the supporters react when Neymar and Mbappe don't arrive🤣

But Biffo - on what basis have you got such blind faith? They ended up with a manger Bruce could have got. They haggled over 200k for the back room team. Whatever the reason they still haven’t got a DoF. They are zero indicators, beyond the fact the PIF have 300bn AUM, to say they will bankroll NUFC.

If on Jan 1st they announce
Aaron Ramsay, Coady, Dembele or Lingard I will think feck they mean business.
I'd love them to sign Ramsey, 250k per week to keep himself fit for Wales matches.
Not sure he'll be up to a cold Tuesday night at Luton though

I’d say they are pretty much doomed, and the “but we are the richest club in the world“ is not quite true. They might have the richest owners but, they are only as rich as those owners invest.
And, let’s face it, Ashley invested massive amounts to prop the second coming, Rafa, like no other Championship manager had ever been funded, to get them promoted.

Aye but theyre gunna buy Steve cook from bournemouth

Sell their souls or has the truth now been written that every NUFC supporter was, and is, behind the new regime?
I’ve yet to meet/hear from any mag who’s spoken/demonstrated against this vile owner the way they did over Ashley. The prospect of buying success and being back in the media frenzy is all they crave. This utter shit of ‘we just want a team that tries’ doesn’t wash with anyone.
Nothing less than being in the same bracket as Man City Chelsea and Liverpool will suffice. Mags regard clubs like Leicester, Everton, Villa as inferior to them.
MP’s have ditched any morals they claim to have, the LBGT of Newcastle have withdrawn from their national organisation all to ‘support’ the new ownership for one reason ! Utter greed and the chant of richest club in the world sums up what your fans are interested in 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

👍

Could be a lot more come the end of this month. Watford, Southampton and Leeds get a win in that time and they've got plenty to do
They have Southampton away on the 2nd of January and its unlikely they will be able to change their squad very much by then as the window only opens the day before. Getting to the stage that they have to win games like that.

Summed it up to perfection

Like Burnley though some club will have a shit day and not put away their chances ! The mags tend to scruff wins not by being good but the opposition having a mare day ! The even beat Citeh at theirs when they simply decided to switch off after taking an early lead
