Sorry to put a downer on all this positive news, but ive just had a message to say the 1142 from stockton is already delayed by 8 mins

Had a mare.
Trainline said train was delayed 8 mins.
Was busy getting kids ready and checked northern train app, said its on time - cue panic to get out asap to station.
Get there, train display said delayed till 1152, kids wanted sweets from shop.......
Went to shop, back to platform by 1145, train had gone

I think this might actually go the wrong way, and they will just let less people onto the trains, and they are likely to not let anyone on beyond Hartlepool?
Ive given tonight a miss in end, got stuck at work and couldnt be hassled with this weather as well.

Is the 9:31 out of Middlesbrough just as busy at the later trains? Can't be bothered with overcrowding tomorrow.

Similar topic...We're on the 10;22 TPE.from Edinburgh tomorrow...They've just posted on their website that staff shortages may lead to "disruption" this weekend. Scotrail up here already cancelled 60 services mainly due to staff off sick or self-isolating from the new covid varient..So no doubt there might be a higher number of cancelllations (than usual) across the rail network tomorrow..
