Had a clear view two different games from my seat in East Stand Paddock next to Leazes End bottles of a certain warm liquid being chucked over from away fans in L7 down onto our fans below behind goal .....dirty B------S

Genuine question and slightly off topic , is there a large percentage of your fans that constantly campaign to have the away section moved to the lower bowl, pitchside ? To 'improve the atmosphere' ?

Not that I know....and tbh away fans were moved to L7 purely because they are the cheapest seats

Interesting. I wonder if we canvassed both sets of fans what the reason is behind sunderland fans being much more in favour of moving them than the mags.

I wonder also if the mags were only getting 26k in Thier ground each week in league one if they might feel different

Hi Morecambe fan here in peace.

Just have to apologize for those mindless idiots who caused problems on Tuesday.
As newbies to EFL1' we've suddenly attracted a number of idiots who have tagged themselves onto my club. Where have they been in all those past seasons when we had less than 1000 at a typical game....probably still in junior school I suspect.
The vast majority of Morecambe fans are and have been sensible who just want to support their club and team.
Please accept the apologies of all level headed Morecambe fans.
Look forward to our final game of this season when you visit our stadium.

Iirc they were moved initially so they couldn't be seen affecting the atmosphere.
I actually agree where they are placed.
When away fans were in North East corner it was the best option in the 36000 capacity as the other corners housed Sky studio North West Corner.....Boxes/Restaurants South West.....And the best/safest area for busing away fans in/out was the Leazes End. There was still a need for policing/stewarding either side of away fans so when ground capacity was increased moving them to top corner was even better safety/security of fans plus its the cheapest seats especially when you have £20 max for away fans scheme
And to be honest that may be the reasoning behind where away fans are placed at the SOL.....but a good option possibly at both grounds may be some sort of wire netting

As posted before never had any issues with your fans on my trips up.
Decent Club and decent Supporters 👍
Sadly we all have our element.

Ellis Shorts first trip to the landfill, he asked Niall Quin where our fans were sitting & was apparently upset at the location, but vowed to move away fans at SOL to where they are now.

There you go all your fault you dirty black & white tarts

You must understand the difference? No?

Between us and the mags ?

The two situations are exactly the same . I'd bet you anything that if you canvassed the mags they'd laugh thier tits off at the suggestion of brining the away fans pitchside to 'improve the atmosphere'

It's f***ing embarassing man
Designed to improve our home form, I think we went on to win something like 9 home games in 2 seasons

Yep, entirely as a result of moving the away fans

I don’t disagree. But the mags play premier league football, have a full stadium and away fans like man utd Liverpool city etc
We have a half empty stadium, tin pot clubs launch smoke bombs over the top. Rancid football and league one quality.
