Trouble after match

I don’t disagree. But the mags play premier league football, have a full stadium and away fans like man utd Liverpool city etc
We have a half empty stadium, tin pot clubs launch smoke bombs over the top. Rancid football and league one quality.

Agreed. However our long term (or is it short term) aim is to get back to the premier League. So why make a move that only possibly works when we're in league one?

When we get back to the premier League, with a young and up and coming team, full of players who have battled through the leagues with us, after 10-15 year absence, the stadium will be rocking. And at that moment in time we need sunderland fans on all sides of the pitch. There'll be 40k there every match. It's what the club and the stadium are built for. For us. For sunderland

Think bigger man

I think far bigger than the owners and manager and most of our happy clapper fans. I’m just pointing out the mags and us are in very different situations and I don’t remember any fans moanjng about away fans upstairs when we were in the premiership

Well I think we're on the same page. Moving them downstairs would be an awful move for the club. A symbolic gesture of defeat

I'm just astounded so many of our fans actually want it to happen

I think some people just like to moan about something

Bloody hell...sounds like there was ructions last night at my beloved sol..
seems like the bad old days of football violence are a returning.. unfortunately due to work commitments down the smoke I couldn't attend .. for my safety I'm glad though.. was it as naughty as the " battle of Bath Lane " or scenes at Central Station as our train pulled in from Edinburgh after the first of the Hibs "friendlies."
Or even as lively as the " ferry " escapade?
Wow ... stay safe people !
Ok chief 🤦🏻

I think you are genuinely the only person I've heard that is so vehemently against it. Everyone to a man (from various parts of the ground) say the same thing that they need moving. Strange.

Not making any particular point there mind. Just saying.

Well they are all wrong .

The mags comparison should sew it up for anyone able to give it a second of critical thought.

People just can't see the bigger picture. A sad day for SAFC if they get moved downstairs. A truly pathetic decision it will be.

 I couldn't give a fuck what the mags think tbh. They stink and are stupid.
Most clubs have away fans in the main bowl and seem fine with it. That seems a better comparison to me. Both fans should be part of the game anyway imo.
Also it's pathetic to want to hide the away fans away so they can't be heard. People should man up and out sing them with their vastly superior numbers.

Between us and the mags ?

The two situations are exactly the same . I'd bet you anything that if you canvassed the mags they'd laugh thier tits off at the suggestion of brining the away fans pitchside to 'improve the atmosphere'

It's f***ing embarassing man

Yep, entirely as a result of moving the away fans
Our home form wasn't too shabby for many seasons when the away fans were behind the goal.

i'm not commenting on what they think about us. i'm making the comparison about if you asked their fanbase if they wanted the away fans in a more prominent part of the ground they'd say no. and yet we want it. its strange thats all. i wonder why?

i wonder if you asked all the other league clubs who don't have the option, i bet loads of them would want the away fans tucked away somewhere, if that club had the real possibility of selling out the lower bowl every week

i bet if you asked people what they would prefer, and cross referenced it against where they sit in the ground, you'd find no support for it from those in the south end of the ground, and as you move towards the northern half of the ground, thats where all the people wanting them moved sit.

aye, and at that point, it would have been even better to have sunderland on all sides of the pitch

Maybe we could have a section of the ground set aside for mags. We could sell them season tickets. They could have a special bar serving hot dogs in burger buns and blue pop. They'd f***ing love that and we could maximise our mag revenue stream.
It would have to be the premier concourse though

There is a difference at the lop sided shit tip, you are about 100 miles high when there, but fans can still be heard

I think it would be better for our away fans if they weren't hoyed up in the gods out of the way of the match wherever they travel so it only seems right that we do the same. The mags have a stupid ground with stupid seats. I don't want to be owt like them. It's an absolutely honking experience for all away fans there. It doesn't affect the football clearly but it negatively affects the away fans day out.

I'm not so sensitive to be offended by some away fans chanting and being heard mind. People should man up and drown them out if it's so bad imo.

Like it, cheesy chips, and Wheeze Keys are these T shirts, , and T-towels of course, toy camels?
Aye. They could have their own Newcastle United Sunderland Supporters Club. Come to the SOL, eat fried chicken in a basket, listen to Lee Clark or Michael Chopra or someone tell some gags, end the night with rousing rendition of We're the Richest Clerb in the Werld. £25 a head.

On top of their ticket price, in their exclusive black and white section, which would always be full of screaming, well are they Arabs now or Jawdies?

Make it free drinks and your on

There's 8 posts on there and 25% of them say there were mags there.

Didn’t happen though apparently 🙄 just like the scruffy twats aren’t constantly spotted attending our games!

It’s embarrassing beyond comprehension for them, they are actually lining their rivals pockets! For what exactly? In the vein hope we get beat or they can post on social media for likes about taking the SoL. Very strange breed is the mag
Hi Morecambe fan here in peace.

Just have to apologize for those mindless idiots who caused problems on Tuesday.
As newbies to EFL1' we've suddenly attracted a number of idiots who have tagged themselves onto my club. Where have they been in all those past seasons when we had less than 1000 at a typical game....probably still in junior school I suspect.
The vast majority of Morecambe fans are and have been sensible who just want to support their club and team.
Please accept the apologies of all level headed Morecambe fans.
Look forward to our final game of this season when you visit our stadium.

Shouldn’t need to feel you have to come on here and apologies for a handful of bellends but fair play.

Good luck with the rest of your season.
