So playing over 310 games Man Utd doesn’t make you a great servant?
I think he was massively underrated imo.
He was exceptionally effective. His reading of the game was his main strength, rarely got flustered because he was able to anticipate that split second before other players.
To be fair I always think the servant line is a strange one. United were as good as he could get, it's not like he stayed out of pure loyalty. Le Tissier at Southampton you could say was a great servant to Southampton. You're probably right mind, it just doesn't sit right with me when likely the reason he stayed so long was because no one better wanted him, don't remember him turning down big money moves to stay or owt, it just suited both parties
