Fans don't keep an owner in profit if that owner millions and millions on Will Grigg and selling off future assets for next to nowt.

Not many owners take over a club to keep it alive either so lets not pretend they only do it out of the goodness of their hearts.

he could do it..never disagreed with that..just said it wouldnt be the smartest approach as it would likely make the shares worth less in future..and i dont see how safc is going to generate the cash to repay him his loans in future without a sale of the club..the club hasnt been cash flow positive for years id have thought
the reason to use loans is protetcion if it goes bust, or for tax reasons..neither of which apply under KLD.

The point is if KLD is in it for the money which i hope he is,then January is vital to him.He isnt gonna make money unless he gets it right here.The worry i have is he might be happy to start the rise in a couple of years time after sorting the wheat from the chaff in a few windows.Which in theory could work but doubt the fans would put up with that for long,in fact if we fail to go up this year season tickets will drop dramatically.Especially if ownership is clouded in mystery.

i know the arent doing it out of the goodness of their hearts..every owner buys a club with interest in mind...sometimes that self interest is totally profit..sometimes its other stuff..but there are no benefactor owners,...just good owners and bad owners

I think the vast majority of campaigns against owners have little or no effect. "Cowie Out" "Red Cards" and so on. Not to mention all the protests up at the landfill that just embarrassed their fans.

KLD has said multiple times the aim is self sustainability and not to really expect anything quickly (im para phrasing as can't remember the exact wording) so can't see him chucking money at it in Jan, although Madbob is saying he's changed his mind now.

Clarity in football is a good thing which should be encouraged. Fan representation (and I don't mean owners friends, business contacts or celebrities) at board level would be great but won't happen because owners don't want people to know what they are doing.

I agree clarity is a good thing, but let's be realistic you have no means to hold them to account. The harsh reality is those with the money who own the club call the shots.

Of course. The post is in response to them stopping him from wanting to loan instead of a share issue.

Holding an owner to the account isn't the same as a random fan calling the shots at board room level 😂

I posted a few years back when the club shops dotted around the NE were closing that we need mobile shops. Theyre all ower outside grounds at tournaments like the euros and WCs.
A few big mobile vans going round the markets and town centres and shopping centres of the NE midweek and then around the car parks etc outside the ground on match days to catch fans coming from all the major pedestrian routes ower the surrounding area.
Theres no passing trade on the far side of the ground, nivver has been, nivver will be. The logic of building the ticket office away from the ground but not the club shop is plain unadulterated lunacy.

This! Turn what is currently the club shop into a cafe/bar and combine the ticket office with the shop.
