Staveley and the Rubens provide 2 things that I can see?
Firstly they're a 'fig leaf' so people can point to the pretence that the KSA is not running NUFC.
Secondly it means they do all the media work so that a representative of the PIF/KSA doesn't have to answer difficult questions.

Journalists have already asked one or two uncomfortable questions of Staveley, the Ruebens and Eddie Howe - yet the chairman who is from the PIF - hasn't once spoken to the media, let alone been in a press conference.

Just guesses from what I've read.

They're still 20% owners though. If the Saudis want to put in 500million in January, they'd need to be willing to put in ÂŁ100million. What if they don't want to invest on that level?
As I said, I dont understand how these things work.

Staveley and Reuben will also likely be the ones who take the flak if it goes wrong. The fans couldn't/wouldnt turn on Saudi....

Is it not a case that the Saudis can put in whatever they hell they like (up to FFP levels) but as long as they are not doing the spending it's tickety boo with Masters?

If they don't match their investment then their ownership would be diluted (unless they borrow 500m but with FFP that is unlikely and new equity is more likely).

So if PIF put 500m in and AS and JR didn't match the equity split would drop to 92/4/4.

As I said I have heard that AS is borrowing from PIF. They need her on board now for the public face/good PR.

Rueben brothers have Boris ln their back pocket it was them who provided the money and know how for him to become Mayor of London that’s what put him in the limelight.Under the previous Mayor Ken Liverstone ,the Reuben’s could not get planning Permission for any building projects as there was no social housing included as soon as Boris was in power surprise surprise all the plans were approved.Wouldn’t not be shocked if some Labour MPs are also in hock to the the Reubens
John Anderson was asked Numerous times if he thought the takeover would happen he always replied “money talks”

Ffs these lot are obsessed with getting people free tickets

Sending sympathy to the family of Michael Dix, original Magpie group member who sadly died recently, even though he wouldn’t know him from Adam.

Honestly mate?

I really believe that once they realise its not going to be "gold paving stones leading to the stadium to watch Mbappe and win the league for the 5th time in a row" - we'll see them shouting at petrol stations and sand suppliers.

So a thank you for the "leverage" (corruption) that got the deal through.

Staveley and the Reubens are what confuses me. MbS (sorry PiF... as they are so different) has the money. That's clear. So where do they fit in

Between them they own 20%. Now I'm not an economist, and football economics are batshit crazy anyway.... but how does it work with them.

If they have to pay 20% of the transfer "wor chest" is that limiting factor?

As I said, I genuinely don't know how it works. But as 20% owners surely it's 20% liability.

It maybe wishful thinking.... but I suspect this is going to end in tears.

They're still 20% owners though. If the Saudis want to put in 500million in January, they'd need to be willing to put in ÂŁ100million. What if they don't want to invest on that level?

Future money will be coming from Aramco sponsorship and whatnot rather than owner cash injections. The Ruebens have enough money anyway and Stavely is doing the day to day running so is working for her share
