I think the fact that he's had 2 jobs and 2 promotions and is getting Plymouth punching above their weight is a real positive. Equally, he's a progressive manager who may well be a good fit. When Lee Johnson was appointed my heart sank if someone like Lowe was a replacement I could see the logic and would be quite excited.

That is a brilliant article and makes Clarke someone to look at - promotions with 2 clubs, plays with a DOF and has an attitude that is closer to Brian Clough than Lee Johnson. He's definitely added to the list - didn't know of him before you put this article up but he sounds like a breath of fresh air. Turned down Leeds because the owner was mad as a box of frogs and doesn't regret it - brilliant.

Yeah I agree - I was referring more to your comment that people would say he wouldn’t come rather than doubting his ability as a manager, he’s done a great job with them. They finished 18th last season so even if their last 2 results are an indicator that they can’t maintain their early season form and are about to fall away he will have made progress with them.

I think one thing that is a certainty is that when Lee Johnson inevitably goes whoever we replace him with there will be some on here who say he's a shite replacement unless, of course, its Emma Hayes who would rightly get universal approval.

He seems to be the sort of bloke our fans could really relate to. He's overcome a lot of adversity in his life, he's tough, resilient & he's a winner. If the job were to become available, he'd be a really interesting appointment, I think.

ha ha, this season anyway. We are only one of about 8/9 teams to have racked up 10 or more wins in the EFL, not one team looks like they are setting the world alight and we are still in with a class shot of the top 2. Maybe, just maybe its not as bad as people are making out?

Bruce is the stand out candidate if he can be headhunted into the post. Anyone else is gambling things cannot get any worse, and we know from experience that's not the case - inspite of the "Things can only get better" mantra that carried us to the League Cup final.
