But but you’ll be able to get from here to Manchester 40 mins faster. Boris said so. What if you only want to go to Sunderland ya f**king gonk. What a way to run a train service. They should loose the franchise . Get onto your MP and complain on mass.
Down south, if one of these shit Pacer trains with two carriages, turned up people would think its a joke.
Dont worry though Boris says weve scrapped HS2 and will improve local commuter services ... Another joke .

Wasn't it delayed though?Another lovely reply from my friends at Northern
Whilst I appreciate your concerns surrounding your experience, purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a seat on the service you intend to catch. Northern currently do not have a seat reservation facility and therefore, we operate a walk up walk on service. We do only have a finite number of trains and carriages at our disposal and every unit that we can operate on the day will operate on the network, whilst factoring regular maintenance activities and any other issues that may occur during the day to day running of our services.
In respect of your compensation request, whilst I appreciate that the journey itself was uncomfortable I am afraid that as you were able to make your journey on this occasion, we have fulfilled our contractual obligation to get you to your final destination. Therefore, unfortunately on this occasion I am unable to fulfill your request of a refund on the ticket you purchased to travel, and I apologise for any further disappointment this may cause to you.
Should be able to get a full refund from Northern Rail for the delayed journey as it was their service that caused you to miss your connection.Trains in this country are a joke, missed our connection Carlisle to Preston last Saturday as the 18.23 from Newcastle to Carlisle was delayed with the 2 carriages being rammed, ended up in a taxi back to Preston station courtesy of Virgin trains footing the bill as the 20.09 is the last train of the night, 1.5 hours later and bloody freezing. Good job we won
Good to see that this issue is not just being ignored.I contacted my MP about the issues faced over the weekend and I received a reply from the MP, however, nothing yet from my complaint to Northern Rail.
A dedicated email address has been set up by an MP for customers to provide details of issues they have faced with Northern Rail and they will be collated and presented to the Government and Northern Rail.
Please email [email protected]
Please E Mail concerns as this is the best hope of something getting sorted.
I contacted the Hartlepool mp about it at the weekend, no response as yet!Good to see that this issue is not just being ignored.

But lots were stuck on the platform at Horden as the crap train was too full for them to embark.Northern is ran directly by the government since Arriva binned it off. Just saying.
Can't blame Northern for this, it's the governments fault for scrapping half the electric schemes allover that's causing the problems. There's literally 15 year old electric trains without a home down South because there's nowhere for them to go. They've literally got no trains to put on the line.
Everyone having a go at Northern your taking it out on the wrong people here. They'd happily double the trains up if they had the trains in the first place and the Pacers could've easily been those trains if everyone wasn't so obsessed with getting arid of them regardless to how crap they are. A crap train is better than being stuck on the platform.
