What a weird game. I was thinking on 75 mins, we haven’t really done enough to win this but I will be happy enough with the effort and ending the losing run.

Was sure the header had gone wide and that’s the strangest pen decision I have ever seen (in light of the ones he didn’t give).

Sometimes you need a bit of luck and we worked hard for it today. Good result, need to build the confidence off this and go on another run of winning games.

that win was built off a strong defensive display. We didn’t look like conceeding. Best way to end a bad run, much better drilled at the back, which was the Bailey Wright effect and Onein going back there. Hard running players elsewhere but obviously lost a bit a flair.
Only need to create one chance playing like that. Not great in the eye but it’s one BSA would have been proud of

Did someone report us to the police for an absolute steal.
For 80 mins we were dreadful but they couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo
tbf if the game was reversed PF would give Sunderland stick for not killing Ipswich off ;), but if its Ipswich being wasteful SAFC are stealing it 🤔

This could well be the point where we start a good run up to Xmas . Ironic that JLs team beat his boyhood team (a Newmarket lad ). A town full of Ipswich supporters who will be fuming they lost. lets hear it then . Good subs changed the match. Change of formation made for an ugly match but the result was good for us.

Not sure about all this daylight robbery stuff mind. They turned up without much attacking intent and we turned up without much pressing intent. Result was them aimlessly passing around at the back for the majority of the game and us holding shape and not getting drawn in. Game of very few chances, they had one good save from Hoffmann first half and that was it. We had a one on one that Winchester messed up and scored from a corner.

Truth is neither side really deserved a goal, but that’s what set pieces are for, winning tight games. Would like to see more from us going forward but who cares we won.
