Stan collymore wasnt offended by blacking up. But you as a white man were offended on behalf of the BAME community. Odd to me.

There is that much blatant racism in the world I dont see why people need to froth at the mouth over something an minor or innocent as blacking up (or chalking up) for fancy address, but thats just me.

I’m maybe a bit thick, old fashioned and pragmatic and not as alert to injustice, prejudice and discrimination as many people are these days.

Mate I've already told you I can't be offended on behalf of anyone besides myself. Nobody can be offended on behalf of anyone besides themselves.

Again, where did Stan Collymore claim to be offended on behalf of anyone besides himself?

Racism is a form of abuse. How somebody acts to that abuse is their perogative. But the only person they're reacting on behalf of is them.

I imagine you're disgusted by paedophilia when you read about it but I doubt you'd claim be offended on behalf of every living child just because you recognise its abhorrent .

The black face thing got me thinking that I was sure a lad I worked did this as Michael Jackson 'thriller' around 2008 at a party. Just checked and he did.

Pity the lad if the pictures ever come out. I didn't think anything of it at the time. Couldn't imagine it happening now

Les Ferdinand who is a vehement anti racist and had done some great work regarding racism definitely wouldn’t have seen the funny side.

Fans that I know are unhappy and disillusioned with him for his total failure to act in the best interests of our game on his watch . He has chased money above all other considerations , and harmed the game in that process He has also failed to step and deal with the debacle at Yorkshire until it became clear that Yorkshire investigating themselves was resulting in a very predictable cover up.

The fact that he thinks that he has the backing of the game after surviving the meeting today speaks to the fact that cricket fans voices need to be heard at the top of the game . If they were heard then Tom Harrison would be left in no doubt that he does not currently have the "backing of the game":

These people probably hardly know any "minorities". If they did then they'd know that black people, for example, aren't a hive mind. Some would be offended by black face, some wouldn't give a shit. Progress comes in two stages, very very slowly then very very quickly. With regard to racism, it feels like we're reaching stage two.

Progress always comes eventually. It doesn't matter how long those that love the status quo try to obstruct, they will lose as the next generations take over. They will look at a phrases such as 'virtue signalling' and 'PC gone mad' with disdain, old language for those who resisted change.
