Racism at Yorkshire CCC

Yesterday before you knew about his post where were you? Where were you in support of a lad who as far as you knew had suffered years of systematic racist abuse? Abuse that was so deep and sustained he almost took his own life. Abuse confirmed by a ton of people coming out and apologising to him. Where were you? You were nowhere but today in response to a message 10 years ago by Rafiq, when he was 19 you are all over it like a rash. It’s not excusable at all by Rafiq but the contrast in the 2 is vast.

when you ask yourself why you haven’t been in the least supportive over someone who has suffered the most horrendous racist abuse over years and wanking your self daft if his racist tweets 19 years ago it might go somewhere to helping you recognise why you are a racist.
Wanking myself daft . This is why you can’t have any serious debate on this board .

Pretty sure theres a picture floating about social media of azeem in a t shirt labelled "p**i power".

Or are asians allowed to say it?

So confusing all of this
I'm going to take this at face value, and ignore some of your previous posts. I talk to you as a white man who grew up in North Yorkshire surrounded not by out-and-out racism, but little accidental things here and there. I certainly have said the wrong things in the past and have done the wrong things. So I certainly get how confusing it all is, I bet everyone on here has been confused at one time or another.

But ultimately, if you're confused then you have a responsibility to educate yourself. Quite frankly others shouldn't be hurt by your ignorance because you can't be arsed to listen and learn. All the information you need is out there. There are books, audiobooks, websites, and podcasts. YouTube would be a fantastic place to start.

Ask yourself why?

1) There are no posts from you in support of Rafiq when up to a few hours ago all you knew was that he had been a victim of horrendous, sustained, systematic racist abuse over years which isn’t even debatable since the flood of apologies that have come his way.

2) You have come to life over a couple of inexcusable racist messages Rafiq sent 10 years ago when he was 19.

Honestly are the two situations comparable? Do you believe no2 is worse that number 1?

You really do need to look in the mirror and wonder why it is today that has been important to you on this thread and not yesterday.

Racism is not acceptable in any shape or form

People really need to get over stuff. The way racism is being treated as the greatest sin known to man is silly. Of course it should not be endorsed in any way, but the sheer puritanism surrounding the issue is just nonsense.

The fact one of the guys making accusations is guilty of the same thing shows how silly it all is. Apologise and move on. Forgive and forget, etc. Not much chance of that mind, or of the whole double standards surrounding the issue ever being addressed.

Of course it isn’t however:

1) A teenager sending a couple of racist tweets
2) An employee suffering years of racist abuse in the workplace day in day out
3) Somebody being murdered due to the colour of their skin

All 3 unacceptable but no right minded person would think they are equally as bad. If you are more excited or trying to compare the actions of Rafiq as a teenager to the years of abuse he has faced in equal terms then surely you must be a racist. Would you not agree?

Systematic racial abuse that left grown blokes in tears over a number of years is silly and people should just get over it

If there’s one silver lining tonight, it’s that I’ve been able to block quite a few idiots who are seemingly unable to read, or are that thick and pig headed that they choose to ignore what has been said by numerous people
Yet in one of the most significant testimonies of racism in Britain in the 21st century, you were nowhere to be seen. Something like 18 accounts if racism, you had nothing to say. Nothing at all.

Funny that

I wonder what the correlation is between those who have suddenly for some strange reason appeared only tonight to say ‘all racism is bad’ and those who last year were screaming ‘all lives matter’

Pretty much. And the whole word "systemic" is a bit misleading, as it suggests there is some sort of mechanical great conspiracy at work.

Growing up as a Catholic in the west of Glasgow is not picnic either, but you do have to get over this stuff.

You were calling it a witch hunt earlier, clearly did not understand the context of the ‘Kevin’ naming and now label those affected by years of abuse as silly, and needs getting over.

Forgive me if I take no notice of you and your attitude

Whining about people whining is always a good one

Take your own advice, shut up.

I'm surprised his lawyers didn't comb his social media. He's admitted his mistake and apologized and will hopefully learn from it. Which is all he's asking from anyone else tbf.
Is he ?

He’s said all the Yorkshire hierarchy should resign - that’s not asking for an apology and learn from it

Well yes the coach and first team captain who slaughtered him the day after his son died and either orchestrated or oversaw years of systemic racial abuse under his nose and the HR head who took the piss out of his complaint. However all those individual players including Ballance and Hoggard who said horrendous stuff an apology has been enough.

I havent been following this much but if it's right that Yorkshire have only been picking a small number of Asian Brits in purpose seems absolutely ridiculous and a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face
I don’t think they would deliberately select a weaker team by omitting British born Asians, but the atmosphere at Yorkshire does appear to make it difficult for them to progress towards the first team

😊Wtf, audio books, about what? Listen just take everyone, regardless of anything, as you find them and crack on from there. These are the old ways of doing things you don't need audio books and the like.
