It’s hugely embarrassing for Rafiq and as an individual he will have to deal with it. However it changes nothing really. Rafiq has opened the door for change. YCCC are under nee management because if him, the MCCC have been hauled in front of the Government and are under pressure to change. A raft of apologies from people recognising their mistakes and victims of abuse coming forward. That’s all down to Rafiq irrespective of the post he sent himself. It gives racists the opportunity to express glee but it doesn’t change anything.

Yes, it would appear you are missing the understanding of what anti semitism actually is in your attempt to seemingly justify what Rafiq has been called.
 
What a pity that the casual bigots have derailed what was a decent thread. The narrative from them seems to be "Well, he may have suffered racism, but he's given out antisemitic abuse, so everything's even now, let's stop discussing it. And why is it always the white Englishmen that are victimised?"

They have no interest in cleaning up the sport of cricket, and no interest in eradicating prejudice of any sort.

I havent been following this much but if it's right that Yorkshire have only been picking a small number of Asian Brits in purpose seems absolutely ridiculous and a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face

Agree extremely embarassing for him. I hope you are right but all the talk of introducing something like kick it out for cricket is a great idea but look at what they are up against - people falling over themselves to dismiss all of this and they will just keep banging the same drum.

More important and pressing matters going on in the world right now. Sick of hearing about this, got more coverage and media exposure than that terrorist attack on a taxi the other day. Annoys me
 
Makes you self reflect. Have you all made casual generalisations that Jews are tight? Even if it isn’t true it’s a known angle for craic / slurs / racism / off the cuff remarks.

I’m way behind the times with what some fringe terms are acceptable and arent.
I didnt realise N e gro was a really offensive term… nor did I realise TRANNY is offensive to the LGBTQ community. Queer however is something i’ve always thought was a slur yet i’ve realised in the last few years the Gay community embrace this?
