Have to say that I’m following this shitstorm on Twitter and in between the blocked accounts, there’s definitely a sense that even some Mags are getting uncomfortable with this Saudi bot shite.

A once great, tradtional, working class football club is now being used reduced to this.

I said this when they were taken over. No doubt if any Newcastle fans saw it they'd claim I was just "jealous", but I really don't hate Newcastle like most.

I've always been one of the rare fans that would rather see them do well (as long as we're doing better). I know too many decent people who happen to support Newcastle to hate them.

But now they're not even a football club anymore, they're effectively a franchise owned by a brutal regime. A once great club now a sports washing project. The Premier League is to blame, but the fans revelling in it should take some of the blame.

I'm sure it's exciting to become the richest club in the world, but I think eventually it'll wear off and they'll wonder if it was all worth it. I'm not sure whether that will be after they buy their third Carabao Cup or whenever but it will happen.
