I don't know how it works but I'd assume that it was actual page views that provided the money. Subscribing to an account merely guarantees the recipient gets a notification that there's new content to view.

You can probably tell from this just how much I am invested in social media and why I find this place the gateway to the shite that bellends like wraith Hoy out.

On a side note I worked with a Kate Stewart. She is probably well into retirement. Lovely lass from Yorkshire with zero interest in football. Loved G&T.

Twitter was swamped with Saudi bots around April 20. It’s all very odd this account. More so, if he is actually “real”.

I suppose they'd have to have some genuine people in the uk on the payroll to manage the bots. Would be dead easy to find a couple of people with a failing social media business and get them to create a couple of "real" accounts.

A once great, tradtional, working class football club is now being used reduced to this.

Bots mean somebody is playing pysops... fat mike used to get all manner of shit for not having ambition. How does it look when agents of the state that own you need to use bots to court your support and get you on side. This is sinister shit and if I were a mag I'd wanna know why its being done and to what end their objective are

That Kate has thousands of followers yet only ever gets 3-5 likes on any of her posts which suggests vast majority of the followers aren't interacting with anything and more than likely dormant.

All the bot accounts started in 2020 or 2021 after Twitter closed thousands of accounts in September 19.

There's clearly something about this Kate Stewart one that makes them wan't to go to extreme lengths to keep it going though. They could have easily just set a new one up after it was named by the CIA but it seems to be the central one (often quoted in Saudi propagander articles) and always retweeting all the bots.

No doubt, like in that last twitter link I posted, there will be a fake passport used to keep it up, but no actual person who's photo will be on the passport.

He's real alright. Looking him up he's a IT contractor with his own company. Registered 11 years ago and is apparently an Irish citizen. Assume not by birth. Whether he's on a payroll for the Saudis or just attached himself to NUFC I dunno but he's an odd one.
