ALL NUFC and Sportwashing stuff in here. (Threads will be merged)

People have criticised these investments. Read the first link you posted.

Most of these deals, however, will have been through the open market with no way of stopping them. The EPL's fit and proper test could have prevented this takeover and they failed miserably. That's why they are getting shit.

The workers and clients of the businesses they have invested in are pawns in the KSA's game to win power and influence over our lives here. They've bought NUFC in a cynical ploy to sportswash their image. That's why this investment has rightly come under such scrutiny.

Newcastle's fans should have been victims of this ploy to use their club for sportswashing. However, they have been enthusiastically and actively complicit in it on a massive scale, including their 110,000 name petition to bring the horrible twats in in the first place. I haven't seen the workers or clients from any of their other investments dancing about with teatowels on their heads or engaging in mass scale deflection and whataboutery to try and paint the KSA as something other than the evil they are. That's why their fans are rightly getting shit for it. Some mags will be genuinely upset by this takeover. They are, sadly, few and far between.

I hope this helps you understand why Newcastle are getting shit. It's not because Amnesty International are jealous.
Did this fucker really say that?

In this country, certain company laws state those with a majority shareholding (51%) are the ones making the decisions
And?
I
You really will argue that black is white won't you?
Only if it's argued against me.
You really are owning what you're saying, that being part of one of the biggest sportswashing/PR campaigns of all time.

If I am then so are all the rest who partake in anything PIF are part of in any capacity, whether it's 0000000.1% or 100%.

You are representing them by doing what you're doing on here, YOU not all Newcastle fans, YOU.
If you've never taken part in anything the Saudis have a stake in then you have a valid argument for your own morality and that of others being subjective.
Can you honestly say you've never?

That basically is where I'm concerned.

A small way means nothing. If you are, you are.

I see it as that.

No, not at all.
The fans are doing what fans do. They're being fans of the club.
If a few support the Saudi regime in their country then that's their choice but is not to be labelled the choice of the majority.

Irrelevant. This is just an excuse. If you tar one set you tar the rest, including yourself if you partake in anything to do with it.

And that's exactly what I'm doing. Nothing more than that.

The argument still stands.

If you and others stop quoting me and stop having a go at opposing fans then I'll happily stop. Otherwise I'll fight my corner.

Carry on doing what you think's best but don't expect no counter arguments.

Interesting, you seem to feel the desire to respoind to every answer like we were in a cozy chat (that you're only allowed into after gaps). All these replies - yet the one you decide to miss out is when someone asks you what "the ghurst of Sir Bobby" would think of this looking down. Would he be proud??

More one-sided drivel. You’re really spoiling us today

I think people are also forgetting the PL had allowed the takeover to go through and are comfortable that PIF and the state are entirely different entities

There's quite a few I don't answer to. Just like others do with me, they think I'm not worth answering to. I decide what I answer to and what I don't.

And?

No Sunderland fan has ever taken part in any overt sportswashing exercise by Saudi Arabia or it's pretend separate fronts. No, you've got that all to yourselves, honestly as you say. Whilst there obviously should be an apartheid style boycott of all things Saudi Arabian, right-wing governments aren't keen on the loss of trade, so there isn't. No one invests in football clubs to make money, there are alsways other reasons, in this case, it isn't hard to find. Property and other financial investments are about a wealthy state looking ahead to when Oil is over, you cannot pretend this is the case with a purchase of a top flight football club at full-price plus. You are the proud operatives of the biggest laundry in the footballing world (until they buy Inter Milan and/or Barcelona as they are in the process of doing and drop you like a gravy-soaked tea towel).

Indeed, Sir Bobby would be disgusted.

Then the entire country should rise up and oust everything Saudi...right?
All the arguments could stop.
If everyone refuses to buy anything the PIF or Saudi's are invested in, no matter how tiny or large then we can sort it out. Would you agree?
And is it feasible?

Huge difference and you know it.

You mags see yourselves and high and mighty maybe you could be the straw that broke the camels back and actually do something considering they own you and don't just invest.
But no we can't do anything?

The club who protest every other week sometimes, nope nothing at all
Plus the fact that you begged them to buy the club in the first place.
Rightfully looked down on.
