It was earlier than that before it was 7:17.

I was.

Coward as in, how?
You’re a coward because like most of your fans all of the pathetic unnecessary protests have stopped when you actually do finally have something to protest against. Then again, why have morals when you can have the Mbappe and the champions league eh? The best part of the whole thing is that you protested to have the soul taken away from your club. If you even have any amount of success which you probably won’t, you’ll soon start finding tickets on daysout.com or some shit, just like Man City. Enjoy.

The wanker has made just over £1200 in a month whilst hanging around for over 12 hours a day in the freezing cold waiting to hand a letter to someone.

That’s less than minimum wage and I hope he is paying tax.
Given everything that has went on over the last few weeks it’s probably his most lucrative month

So basically if these very same people went to take over Sunderland you would cease to be a fan and supporter....right?
And you would expect/hope everyone would follow suit, then have the club open to potential outside interest or even dissolved....right?

Ok, so you'd now expect everyone to stop buying into anything the PIF offers, right?
Let's assume they took over Sunderland.
You get your wish and everyone abandons the club and effectively killing it off and restarting some kind of FC Sunderland type of club where bread and butter football can be restarted at non league grass roots level.
You now watch your club get taken over by the rich or by plastic supporters who fill the places the moralistic one's gave up.

Would that be ok?

Now then, all that needs to happen from this point is for all the moralistic ones to stop taking part in all the rest of the stuff that's on offer from the PIF.
People can argue it and say " ahhh here we go, using other stuff" but it's all about morals...right?

Imagine if both clubs were taken over by Arabs and we all gave the clubs up and all watched as the clubs we once loved were all taken up by those plastic fans and we started taking interest in FC Newcastle and FC Sunderland.

We then totally give up on anything that remotely appears to be part of a regime that does not suit our set up due to atrocities and what not.
The ideal scenario or a scenario that will not work.
What do you reckon?

Then we're all sociopaths if that's the case. And it doesn't just include Newcastle fans.
What other stuff do they own? Apart from a 1% share in Uber? We get most of our fuel from Norway, the US and Canada. Everyone with an iota of political awareness has been aware of the House of Saud’s human rights abuses for decades, they’re right up there with the worst despotic regimes on the planet. They own 80% of your club and over 100k of you wrote a Letter begging them to come- that’s the difference.

Look , PIF are the face of your club.
And you're happy about it and wear tea towels on your head even though you know your owners kill journalists, kill Yemeni kids, kidnaps and kills anyone who talks negatively about the state. Your owners have one of the worst human rights records in the world. They make Qatar look like mother Theresa.
And you're happy and defend them.
You spend so much time on a rivals message board trying to get over how it's OK to be happy that they own you.
If they took over SAFC or any other club I honestly doubt that our fans or other fans would defend them and say 'whatabout'.
It just wouldn't happen. But mags are so desperate to be in the elite. It's where you think you have a god written right to be, and you want to be there by any means necessary.
You've sold your morals in the blink of an eye.
I honestly think no other clubs fans would behave like you lot. Honesty, no one would.

The regime that owns you buys into other companies to make a profit. You can't stop them buying shares in the stock market. They are also not the face of these companies.
If they were and they owned say Uber, I'm pretty sure people would stop using uber.
Or at least not be happy about it. When folk fill up with petrol do you think they're in love with the Saudis?

Boxing fans aren't happy about boxing being in Saudi. F1 fans are disgusted.
Newcastle fans can still support the team without defending the regime.

MBS is the owner of your club. He is the face of your club. He is one of the most evil despots in the world. And you lot are defending him. Stop the whataboutery.
Its disgusting.

He might potentially be a good YouTuber but he seems too keen to have an argument and is picking fights.

He needs to just get in with making content and forget the negative comments.

The True Geordie is a very successful YouTuber, maybe Adam should follow his lead.

Yep and that’s his best month when to be fair they’ve had a takeover, appointed a new manager and he got a bit of publicity for being a knacka. It won’t be like that every month.

So why isn't there a public outcry?
Like I said earlier, if the whole of the country feels this isn't right then why aren't they shutting all of it down, not just the Newcastle part of it?

So therefore it's happened, so what can be done other than everyone against it stop aiding and abetting it?
It's just too easy to use Newcastle fans as lacking in morals when most of the country is doing exactly the same.

We criticise it and get delegitimised as just being sad Mackems. Other fans have created anti-ownership signs like in the Crystal Palace case and get reported to the police for a ‘hate crime’.

The LGBT groups from other clubs speak out and they get similar abuse and journalists get vilified for bringing up human rights and not just tweeting about transfer targets.

Kashoggi’s lover gets abuse when his execution is brought up. Can’t you see your fanbase is problematic and a part of the problem in challenging the issues around all this?

On the whole why can’t we ALL get to together and help improve and ‘re-educate’ and help modernise Saudi Arabia. Get your head out of the backside and realise that we ain’t going to change thousands of years of Saudi misogynistic and homophobic ideology based around the literal readings of their religion of choose over a cup of tea or through a rainbow laces campaign. What you COULD have done is stopped them taking over in the first place and then there would be no issue to deal with in the first place.

What you say about Cultural relativism is correct, we have to accept as a different culture they will have differing culture norms and attitudes, what we don’t have to do is let them into the Premier League and let a group closely linked to an alleged state sponsored murderer run a football club.

Yep and this is his best month yet, the month of the takeover and where he was kind of mentioned on itv and sky sports for being a sad sack. He’s a silly silly boy will have to live with his parents for ever at this rate
He probably gets most of his views from here and the links folk put up...

I don't protest and have never protested.
Then again, why have morals when you can have the Mbappe and the champions league eh?
My morals are like everyone else' morals. Subjective.
As for Mbappe and the champions league. If it happens then it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I'll still be a fan and supporter, regardless.

No, I didn't.

I've been a fan and supporter since I was old enough to be a fan and supporter. If this club went into non-league then I'd still be a fan and supporter. It's not even an argument but if you feel it is then I have no issues with you having a pop.

I don't agree with the AS/Wizard of Oz thing but....

- Peter Reid called Monkey Head forever;
- Bruce called Cabbage head;
- calling MA a FCB;

all seems fair game?

Then Richard Keys gets hairy hands:

and by the same poster:

who ironically retweeets about the AS post.

I will laugh my cock off when this goes tits up and they turn on AS. They have been wanting to sack the board for 40+ years and this will be no different.

This isn't about percentages being higher or lower.
If you partake in anything PIF are part of whether it's 00000000000000000.1% or 20%/50%/80% or 100% you're still buying into it.
If you don't buy into any of it and buy into nothing from any country that commit bad/terrible/atrocious acts then you have a stronger argument.

The issue we have is, this is the internet and a forum. People can take the moral high ground whilst maybe not deserving of it. Most people don;t know each other to know what morals a person may or may not have, overall.
This is why it becomes massively subjective.

Nonsense, as much as you’d all like it to be true it isn’t. Anyone can buy stock in a company- like someone said earlier the Saudis are so toxic if they did own companies outright no one would use them.
Seriously, I wouldn’t want them anywhere near my club- I’d rather we were skint playing in the Northern League than have the House of Saud associated with us.
