I know the point you're going to make and they're not in way comparible.

It would be too much for me. I can look at those 2 individual things and over time get past them.

But they don't even begin to scratch the surface of what I'd feel if we were owned by your owner. I'd walk, and it's difficult to even type those words out but I would.

I don't w want to make Sunderland sound like victims here but Moyes has just done the same...it's because at the end of the day the media have always been indifferent towards the club. His mate Souness absolved him from any blame straight after the relegation.

He does have one skill, and that is painting himself as a victim. It deflects from his lack of performance as a manager. I would have him as my most disliked manager in My lifetime, and that's more to do with his continual woe is me and blaming anyone but himself then the football on the pitch really. His interviews became a parody long before the end.

We have new owners. The Reuben Brothers, Staveley and PIF.
We can argue that the Reuben Brothers are complicit as well as Staveley.
We can then have a go at anyone who buys into any of that which include players, staff and fans, plus anyone connected with the club whether it's catering or advertisers/sponsors...and so on.
Then we have to go down the deeper rabbit hole and find out what's associated with PIF in this country and test the morality of people taking part in any thing that sides with this. I think you get the gist

Spreading the accusations around by mentioning staff and catering etc to attempt to dilute your lack of morals just doesn’t wash.
By saying “The politics of what's behind the owners or their country is for politicians to argue and decide on.” is utter bollix. What you decide to do in this example of State Sportswashing is totally down to you.
You have the direct choice in deciding whether to ignore the fact that you are willing to take an active role in the ‘sportswashing’ or not.
Saying that you are against the things that the Saudi government (and therefore the 80% owners of your club) practise and then purposely assist in the ‘sportswashing’ just does not cut it.
It is akin to Howe saying “I’m just interested in the football”, while applying for the job and taking the blood money….except you are actually putting money INTO the club and being a flag waver for the Saudis by doing so.
I would say that it was naive, but I think you know exactly what you could do.

Thing is I never really disliked him when he was here, more since he left.
He did OK here for the most part, but when it starts to go wrong that's when you see the character of the man and as you say, he becomes a victim.
The press never picked up on his bullshit about his time here never working because of his geordie roots.
"Steve, there is a big fuck off statue of a geordie, ex newcastle player outside the stadium, are you talking shite again?" Was sadly never asked by the press.
