I'd like to add on to that his continual disloyalty to any club (which for me was important as players couldn't trust in him), the fleetingly good football always drowning in a sea of shit football, and his constant protection / arse licking of the owners when they were criticised.

I have no idea how as an owner you'd look at his record and think "yes, he's a good manager, he's hired" - other than they wanted a "yes man".

Ok, fair enough.
I've talked to many that's used various reasoning. One being, " because he's a Mackem and refused to manage Newcastle when offered" and all the rest of it.
But if you don't know anyone that uses that against him then you'll have no reason to go along with that stance.

He was a perfect Ashley appointment. The man is universally disliked by nearly every club he has managed. That's all anyone needs to know.

The politics of what's behind the owners or their country is for politicians to argue and decide on.

All the rest of it comes down to subjective reasoning and morality by people.
We have new owners. The Reuben Brothers, Staveley and PIF.
We can argue that the Reuben Brothers are complicit as well as Staveley.
We can then have a go at anyone who buys into any of that which include players, staff and fans, plus anyone connected with the club whether it's catering or advertisers/sponsors...and so on.
Then we have to go down the deeper rabbit hole and find out what's associated with PIF in this country and test the morality of people taking part in any thing that sides with this. I think you get the gist.

And this is where subjective reasoning and morality comes into play.

Let me make this clear.
I'm all for life being fair. If I had the power to make all of life as fair as possible, I'd do it.
I have no issues with females driving, working or whatever.
I have no issues with people who are gay or whatever else a person may be that's different from majority.
I have no issues with race.
I would like to see no atrocities, ever.
If being a fan of Newcastle United makes me some kind of monster then so be it but my mindset is to go about life and as part of it, support and be a fan of Newcastle United like I've done for nigh on all my life and the only time that will change is if the club ceases to exist or the people who own the club decide to take the club out of the English league and into a Euro or other league away from the English game.

I'm not blaming anyone. I didn't want it.

I'm me and what you think I am is your business and you're welcome to it..

All politicians should be there for the good of the people.
Clearly most are there for the good of themselves and those like themselves.
The one's that are for the people are likely few and far between and have little input on the welfare of those/us people.

If you can separate out those things as 'only for the politicians' then you have a different relationship with your club than I have with mine.

I cannot separate the club from my personal value system precisely because its an emotional attachment and "they represent me" on the pitch and off it, its personal.
That's what makes football so irrational and important, but when things happen that jar strongly with my personal beliefs it erodes my relationship with the club.
Hiring PDC and the fallout from Johnson were two such times that caused me to reflect on the unconditionally positive relationship I had with SAFC.

State sponsored genocide, misogyny and murder by my owner would definitely be another.

The fact that Gerrard has ended up at Villa and Lampard at Norwich puts paid to all that nonsense that they turned Newcastle down , they clearly weren’t wanted .
 
I might write a letter now and pretend it is a letter from a 7 year old child to Amanda Stavely in 2018. The letter can read saying ''Please get a bunch of murdering scum to take over Newcastle, preferably ones who throw gays off buildings, stone women for being raped and ideally murder 10k people in Yemen''. I could wait next to that young youtreer and hand it to Eddie, wonder what he will think to the alternative letter?

Not be long before he wants to get back into work and his mates will rewrite some more history for him like they did after his time with us.
Honestly you would think he was driven out of here by a baying mob because of his geordie roots. That's what's annoying, it's become fact and paints us in a bad light.
