The guys at Yorkshire should absolutely be brought to task but it seems double standards when you think Trevor Sinclair has been welcomed back with open arms after being convicted of racism and assaulting a police officer.

"More than just a football club" its not though is it? It is in fact, just a football club however much you love it.
John Hall was the greatest marketeer since someone in the 1930s said snouts were good for you. You all swallowed it hook, line and sinker that you were 'special' and different to others merely due to the postcode your football ground is located and have perpetuated this myth ever since. You aren't though lads, you're no different to fans of Exeter or Fylde.

This 'more than a club' or that you love it more than fans of other clubs is just nonsense man and was used as a buy in for Hall to make a few quid out of it and you (which he certainly did) whilst having you believe your support was political or romantic, akin to Barcelona and having you pack in to witness the inveiling of another player, funded by the bank he was lending from on the club's behalf.

Unless one of the residents on here can enlighten me, of course?

BTW I contacted about 30 celebs, 10 tv channels, 10 different tv shows etc about doing my walk from Sunderland to Cornwall on my own for cancer research, hoping to raise awareness for a good and serious cause, only got 1 reply. Some daft young lad gets an autograph of a blood moneygrabber and gets two tv appearances.

Dan Walker from BBC Breakfast replied and said he has forwarded my details/story to producers but heard nowt back. He wished me well etc.

So many other could not have cared less. This Morning said they were going to send me signed photos of Holly and Phil for some reason, never got them 😂

that's the "game" I suppose...celebs doing anything for charity often can have to fit into their plans....ie. Just PR for the bastards :(

It is quite upsetting that the world is like this, they rather give time to someone who got Howe's autograph than someone who nearly killed themselves (I exaggerate) for raising money for a cure for cancer.

BBC breakfast and a few other places gave loads of TV time to 3 men who were walking 300 miles for charity, I was one man walking 490 miles. Maybe if I was not a mackem and London based it would have got more awareness in press? Definitely a real shame.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I will try upload onto that thread some vids and pics one day when I get time. I have came back to a mountain of work and a website I am trying to fix :lol:. Yourself and so many others on the board kept me going, along with this thread laughing at the mags :lol:
