I remain entirely unconvinced - think if Ashley had made this appointment it would be greeted with erm...shouting at shops to be honest.

He worries me defensively and that's our problem. Along with midfield and attack...and the occasional keeper howler. We're also the worst Premier League team I've seen - including your efforts and that of Derby. We haven't got a terrible squad just incredibly severely limited footballers who can be trained to do one thing (a la Rafa) and can't go off the script or do anything else or it ends up in disaster (i.e playing against 10 men...when the other team doesn't attack, when the other team has a game plan etc etc)

I'd be amazed if he's here in a few years time. He'll probably spend a lot and establish us as a mid table side (a la Hughes at Man City) then we'll sentimentally appoint Mourinho and it'll go tits up and we'll all die under an avalanche of Mourinho and Bobby Robson chosen one memes....
