I'll say it how it is, if you were a manager or DOF would you join us now? The chances are (I hate to say it) we'll be in the championship next season. You ain't going to get a half decent employed manager agreeing to come in now.

Fwiw though I honestly think Eddie Howe is a fantastic choice, if we go down he has promotion experience, if we stay up he has the building experience also. Obviously the nutters who wanted Conte/Jose won't be happy but it makes sense.

We look like amateurs in everything we do atm, so hopefully having somebody actually clued up within the industry comes in soon.

There'll be little money to be made in Newcastle imo. I can't see the Saudi's being bothered about investing in property or leisure, it's small fry for them. They're more used to buying in places like Mayfair.

Sorry to piss on chips here but the Inter thing won't be happening, at most it'll be a small percentage stake. I'm sure Grumpy will clear this up.

What's obvious, is they will buy other clubs eventually, but they'll be away from the European leagues. For now.

If I'm being honest here, judging by twitter (I know, I know) they seem to be all for it, well at least a high percentage.

The team to watch out for investment is Marseille, so they can directly compete with Qatar.

It does prove that money doesn't give you the ability to run a football club. It's been a complete shambles from day 1

Nothing mate, obviously.

In a weird kind of perverted way, I actually trust her to get it right in the long run. If she doesn't get it right she's gone soon.

I know people have said previously on here but the Saudi state (yes that's PIF) want to be the best in everything they do, if you've ever worked for them or been there, that's the mentally drilled into everyone.
