Forthcoming gigs.

I regret no going to the Hammersmith Odeon one years back where the then current Buzzcocks opened the show. “Classic” Buzzcocks then did a bit. Then Devotovera Buzzcocks finished it. Still don’t know if that Garth feller played.
There’s footage on You Tube of one of those shows..don’t think Garth was there.

Just had an e-mail to say Earl Slick has had to postpone next Sunday's gig due to struggling with Lyme Disease - makes a change from Covid.

Leaves my schedule a bit blank for the next couple of weeks but then it's:

This Is The Kit
The Free Convention
Withered Hand & Billy Liar
Kathryn Tickell/Lake Poets
Field Music Revue
Smoove & Turrell
Richard Dawson
Alison Russell
This Is The Kit again
The Unthanks
Jeff Beck
Loudon Wainwright
Agnes Obel

Just looking at dates and details of that list and over half of them are actually in Sunderland! The world is changing ........

New Order tonight were canny

Yup. Excellent show even thought I was up in the cheap seats. Had a mate who was right at the front.

It was my first time at the O2 and I went with low expectations of the venue but I was quite impressed especially with the ease of getting away afterwards. Only problem was paying £7.70 a pint and the service was very slow too.

Not exactly upcoming but I've got tickets for John Bramwell at the Devils Arse in Derbyshire. It's been cancelled in 2020 & 2021, now scheduled for May next year.
Also The Music's rearranged gig next year.

It`s a shame about Earl Slick. He was great a couple of years back with Glen Matlock.

Aye, was looking forward to that! Full band, but in Cluny2. He had actually flown over for rehearsals and done a show at Rough Trade but felt he wasn't up to the job.

I`d seen that. Lyme Disease is nasty. I did a very enjoyable interview with him before The Cluny show. He was very impressed with my daughter`s choice of hat!!

Have you watched the Filmage documentary? It's class. I never saw Descendents but I saw ALL at the Duchess of York in Leeds back in the early 90's. Bill is one of the best drummers you could ever watch.
I have.It was fascinating. Brilliant story about the drummer and his brain tumour and that's why he's always so happy on stage.

"Open your mouth and say Mr. Chi Pig" is another cracking doc. in the same style about him out of SNFU.

Just saw Starsailor are on at Riverside 9th December I loved them back in the day but at the Charlatans the same night.

thats a nightmare for starsailor.
the charlatans will just take any punters they may have had.
I like the riverside aswell really nice intimate venue. I’m off to Brudenell Social Club to see a band with my son in a few weeks, never been it’s meant to be class.

yeah likewise never been and I definitely need to rectify that. Enjoy mate.
Cheers 🍻 You’ve got to take an adult if your under 18 so I’ve a feeling I was probably last choice but never the less I’m sure I will enjoy it-Black Midi are the band they were nominated for a Mercury Music Award.

Saw Ariel Pink at the Brudenell, I know he’s cancelled now but it was a great gig at the time, venue really added to it. Who you off to see?
