Forthcoming gigs.

My last Music Glue ticket purchase arrived two days before the gig. Pointlessly close to the wire.
Can you buy gig tickets direct from Music Glue ?
Are there any smaller, less greedy ticket agencies, as it is getting harder to buy direct from gig venues ?
I am trying to swerve using the big ticket agencies as they add-on c.20% on top of the ticket price.
If you are buying 4 tickets, that can be a significant extra charge...

Just had an e-mail to say Earl Slick has had to postpone next Sunday's gig due to struggling with Lyme Disease - makes a change from Covid.

Leaves my schedule a bit blank for the next couple of weeks but then it's:

This Is The Kit
The Free Convention
Withered Hand & Billy Liar
Kathryn Tickell/Lake Poets
Field Music Revue
Smoove & Turrell
Richard Dawson
Alison Russell
This Is The Kit again
The Unthanks
Jeff Beck
Loudon Wainwright
Agnes Obel

and a bit of comedy

David Callaghan
Robin Ince
Stewart Lee
Reginald D Hunter
Rob Newman
Patrick Kielty
Free Convention... friday..or saturday .???

It was a toss up between this and The Nightingales at Middlesbrough for me. Went for the latter.
I saw the Nightingales a couple of months ago, knew nothing of them until the Stewart Lee film. They were tremendous!
Free Convention... friday..or saturday .???

Friday. Saturday was sold out already but it worked out best with the Ipswich game on Saturday. Then Withered Hand/Billy Liar on the Sunday.

Decent weekend in prospect, with only the football likely to fuck it up.

Saw Jarv Is on Tuesday at the round house and thought it was only ok where as Damon Albarn at Banquet records last night was fantastic - Mainly his old stuff. I was on the later show and we were treated to 6 more songs than the earlier one.

Oh aye. It’s an evolving collaboration but the current line up does nowt for me.
For me, it’d be Dave Ruffy, Jake Burns, Glen Matlock & Captain Sensible.

Granted a bit harsh on Kirk Brandon, but they’re my favourite bands within the lineups.
just found out me nephew playing keyboards for spiritualized on latest tour so going to sage in may.
My Nana’s playing bass.

See you there marra.

The Men They Couldn't Hang were excellent last night, Ian Prowse Facebook 'gig' tonight and Jim Bob in Manchester tomorrow night. It's going to be a good few days even if I've felt battered today and I only had a can of lager when I got home last night. Bugger all sleep as I was still buzzing from the gig.

Never done the Men They Couldn’t Hang like. Need to sort that out.
