£65m for Solanke, price of sh*t just goes up, Sky and the premier league's legacy.
I mean, this isn't even exciting by Ashley standards. There's clubs in the championship would take it, but not excitedly.
He's obviously better than Bruce but conversely I don't think he's any more likely to keep them up than Bruce, maybe the opposite without the ultra negative Bruce style.
Actually feel pretty confident they'll go down now.
Nice trapping by Bruce and Ashley.
No. Not this time. Relentless bragging that they're the richest club in the world has put the price of their targets up.

Howe's ego, and 'reputation' as someone who likes to attack, will cause big problems at Newcastle.

Exposing such a poor defence, even more, is a recipe for disaster.

They're in a plight because they can't score enough to compensate for the goals they concede.

Trying to shift that balance means they'll lose the rigid bank of midfield players protecting Lascelles and his chums.

I look forward to Howe's first, 'Won't go down without a fight' speech.

Dear me 😂

If you’d told them when they were dancing outside St James Park with their tea towels on their heads, the day the takeover was announced, that the manager was going to be Eddie Howe I don’t believe a single one of them would have been happy.
Yet here we are 4 weeks later and they are celebrating him like the second coming of Benitez

All of which would have been chosen ahead of Howe. That puts him in 6th place.
Add Lampard to that, he told them no
