The Richardsons were always the most evil/feared in London - South East London - Catford/Lewisham area.
Story goes that The Krays and their mob tried to take our neck of the woods over but got their arses kicked all the way back to East London.
Nowt to be proud of. Scumbags, the lot of 'em !
Yes they were the most feared in South London. Although stories of them seeing off the Krays are as reliable as stories of the Krays seeing off the Mafia. The man with the most money is the man that wins a gangster war, and that’s the reason why the Richardson gang was dismantled 3 years before the Kray gang. Some were dead and the rest were in jail. What the Krays seemed to forget was that as soon as they became the only gangsters in the village they became the focus of the full Met rather than just a few local coppers.

They certainly had more evil methods than The Krays. I don't think any of us will ever know the real truth.
One thing I'll never understand is how The Krays were lauded by many.
Them and their kind were filth of the highest order.
