It was consulting. The ones I met were very capable but they suffer like many ME companies with a culture of no decision making authority/inability to let go from the top. KSA produces some talented individuals with the opportunity to study (fully funded) at the best Universities in the world.

I did a lot of work with SABIC years ago and they constantly delayed decisions and referred them back to ‘The Kingdom’.

Doug Wetherall was the only good thing about that paper. His half page on why Cowie should keep Durban the morning before he was sacked was surely the last good bit of textbook proper NE football reporting: Unearth a scoop, have the balls to write an article going against the club hierarchy involved, have your sources proved correct, have your opinions proved correct by history.

Aye,Eddie, how comfortable do you feel working for these horrendous, manipulative people? Hopefully Olly Holt will be at his first press conference and some of the national media to ask some serious questions in order to counteract the sycophantic local press pack who are beyond help and forgiveness now.

Looking at the shit storm that has surrounded events at Yorkshire CC these last 36 hours, NUFC have got off ridiculously lightly in relation to who they are now owned by and what the majority 80% Saudi's get up to. The media hypocrisy is sickening and needs confronting.

Putting politics aside, the Mail's Olly Holt has been the strongest high profile media writer to question NUFC's takeover. Brave, honest journalism unlike the hypocrites at other papers, the local media Mag pack, the BBC, ITV, Sky, BT Sport etc. etc.
