They set their expectations to match the news.
They could appoint the bloke who cleans the toilets at Haymarket Metro and the mag/Chronic would be saying "what this club needs is a man with no football background, but who 'gets' what NUFC is all about".
Truth is they are struggling to fill a post, and the longer this goes on the harder it will be to fill without offering longer contracts and more favourable terms. No manager worth his salt will take a relegation clause in his contract if he's inheriting a team he can't change that's already 6 points adrift and could be moreso before the new man gets in the dugout.
If they go down this season, the whole project could very easily implode. Too many mags hiding behind the "richest club in the world" mantra as if its the answer. Relegation would fuck them over big time
