He is starting to annoy the hell out of me, I try to be rational and think neutral and watch all the players without bias, but fook me, he hasn't helped himself.

In his last game:
His first four touches he gave them the ball.
He sauntered back and didn't bother tracking one of their players and they scored.
Then tracked back and got skinned and they scored again.
Got the ball in some good positions and squandered it.
His is crosses were truly awful.
Played a one two with Winchester and blamed Winchester for him not running 10 yards away from where he had passed the ball.
He put in a god tackle and won the ball only to pass it straight to one of their players.

Apart from that he had a good game.
 
I’ve said it many times before but he lacks any sort of football intelligence, constantly makes the wrong decisions, gives stupid fouls away when we have players under pressure, can’t read the game and my personal bug bare with him of flaying his arms about moaning to officials every time he is tackled or looses the ball.

You missed out the needless foul when their player was going absolutely nowhere in the corner and was under pressure and he decided to just push him in the back and give them a free kick. Could see it coming a mile off as it's quite common that he does this.

The thing is it wasn't even one of those where he just barely touched him and the player threw himself to the floor.... He just blatantly pushed him in the back
 
This thread is an embarrassment to any Sunderland supporter. FFS man , Gooch is one OUR players , he has been out injured , if you think back , he has always needed a few games to get match fit. Scored the winning goal at wembley in a cup final for us last year. Not just the OP , but all the knackers on here agreeing with him , have a word with yourselves you sad twats.
 
I await Gooch to go on a blistering run of form, scoring plenty and setting up a bunch, just to spite the OP.
He seems to have form for setting off players on good runs.

The lad has never improved just slowly gets worse the more he plays, he's an absolute dead loss.

I'm not, take your head out of the sand, he has played for us in the premiership, championship and now league one. He has consistently failed to improve, in fact that performance on Tuesday was probably the worst I've seen him play, and he's had some absolute shockers. The club will never move forward hanging on to average players like him.

You mean he's an academy graduate so untouchable, or do you mean just a Sunderland player in general?

I think he's been given chance after chance after chance, and even still he flatters to decieve. He's not a game changer, he's gradually gotten worse. He probably would get into most league one teams as that's his limit, he's no better, and he's no good for us going foward.

Which two would they be Bob? I agree Gooch hasn’t been great lately, who’s the other one.

Just FYI putting our differences a side, I’ve actually found myself agreeing with you a fair bit over the last few days. When you don’t post itk bull, a lot of what you say makes sense.

I don't make judgements of players based on one game.

That's just such an easy game to play.

I appreciate you're a fan and his life has been mainly in Sunderland, grasped from the cluthches of America and all it's problems. Gooch isn't really a problem though he's part of the furniture. He's also part of the regime that got us here. But it's none of his fault.

My only take on it is, he's not very good at playing football and never has been.
