Are they going to sack him? Everton have £280m debt, spent nothing in the summer, and got rid of a lot of players on big contracts. They had to make big cutbacks to have any chance of complying with FFP.

I thought at the time that Benitez was appointed to do what he did at Newcastle with no money.

The Everton fans probably don’t like it, but it looks to me that he’s doing exactly what he’s been appointed to do - 4 wins, 2 draws, 4 defeats.

Can’t see any reason for the Everton board to get someone else in, and really don’t think he’ll be going anywhere, which I’m sure will be a real shame for the mags.

He says anyone who says Emery rejected them clearly hasn't read his statement. I'd love him to give an interpretation of "Villareal CF is my home and I am 100% committed".
