To be fair to Dick Emery..he knows La Liga is a financially knackered atm..
A large % of TV money goes to Barca and Madrid so that freezes out the lesser teams...
His decision (if he leaves) is purely a financial one..no more no less.
Obviously in Spain the football is a touch slower and arguably more technical.
But to leave to go into a relegation battle I question his motives..he didn't exactly pull up any trees at Arsenal.
Only my opinion FWIW.

Emery didn't want Pepe though. He didn't have a lot of say in the signings. He wanted Zaha, Banega, Kondogbia and got none of them. Mind you looking at those names it's maybe for the best.

He's not charismatic and I think his style of play will reflect that.
Weren't we linked with Banega under Poyet many Premier League moons ago?

I think it's a good appointment, and I rate him as a manager. He's done canny at Villareal and was excellent at Sevilla. He's won the Europa League 4 times in 8 years and a losing finalist once. Arsenal wasn't the job for him, Newcastle are more suited to him I think if they are ran correctly going forward. Hope it all goes wrong like :)
Were any of them bottom of the league when he took over
