Which mag hammered on about the mags having the most Europa league appearances? This fella has won it four times, which is impressive.

Seems a bit nuts bailing on Villareal when they could get through to the knockout stage of the CL but guess he has been there before with PSG.

I'll admit that I liked him at Arsenal.

He doesn't stick around long anywhere, a couple of sackings on his cv and a few jobs he left voluntarily.
Villareal are languishing in 13th this season and only 3 points above 3rd bottom compared to 12 points behind the 3rd top team, looks like his time is up there anyway.
 
Aye I think that's a good appointment for them. (Although Villarreal haven't started great this season)


They'll love him already as he's got a fancy name. Got a big job keeping them up mind
 
Emery.... Don't think it would be the right appointment for where they currently sit. Arsenal fans seem to suggest the players took the piss out of him because of the language barrier.
 
Head of recruitment Steve Nickson is actively making calls on players that a new manager would want, and it is believed that he is working on set targets - suggesting the club may already have identified who they want to come in.

How does this work without a manager and DOF?

Will he be able to cope with the expectations from the Naysun? Average crowds at Villareal only 16k ish.

And to make matters even better he is not squeaky clean which always makes for good press....
