All the bridges of the Tyne, Grey Street, Civic Centre and that massive memorial outside of it, Armstrong's statue outside of the Hancock.

I don't see it's a big problem using a landmark from North Tyneside,, it's absolute mag heartland. Obviously not many people outside of the area recognise it though.

They shouldnt be using Durham Cathedral though.
I left the area and moved overseas when i was a bairn, i didn't have a clue what it was and to me it looked like a mosque

Ah it's fine....

If they weren't blinded by the 300bn there would be absolute mayhem at this delay. They are a shambles.

Very amusing to see some of you getting your knickers in a right twist about the Spanish City being included in the flag.

Pretty much all mosques with domes have a crescent on top of the dome.

are you aware you are hated on this board?

Looks like it in the bottom left as you look but it could be some other Geordie landmark that only they will recognise.
anyone outside of North East will only recognise the Tyne Bridge and the Angel as landmarks. And the angel has only been there 25 years

Against my better judgement I replied to a few wanting to explain my position and most blocked me and those that did engage, well hardly any of them had season tickets or coherent sentences if I’m honest. I’m convincing myself this is a social media minority and it probably is but it’s a bit unsettling the lads and lasses sitting around me at the match could have be one of those 50 messages.

That's bad crack mate, and it's one of the downsides of social media anonymity - not only does it embolden people to say things they wouldn't say in real life - but if someone gets doxxed and loses their anonymity they have no idea who these people who piled on are - whether they're a 'real' danger or not.
Our brains and emotional responses do not act differently to social media compared to "real threats in real life", so it all becomes very real.

It'll blow over, but the feelings of uneasiness and extra vigilance you get are unnerving.

Their cathedral is all central tower, and I don't think it's their castle either. Looks like Durham cathedral viewed from the Galilee chapel side, like from Framwellgate Bridge. But could be wrong.
Thread about banner in 2019 and aye it's Newastle Durham Cathedral
