That's because he's wearing traditional Saudi attire and a false beard.

And as Charney is still around and listed as a director, and the ex-Chief Exec Chris Mort, who is both Ashley's lawyer and the solicitor for the PIF are around - the gangs all back together again...
Ahh, and heres me thinking he had possibly slipped accidentally into an acid bath :)

I'm embarrassed at the antics of Newcastle supporters and I'm one of them. I walked away from the premier league a good while back, it's just not enjoyable. What were we playing for? Nowt, is the answer. Chucking our hand in for the cup games and happy to scrape by in the league. Now we're the richest club in the world and I couldn't be less happy about it. KSA represent a backward medieval system and we shouldn't be anywhere near them . I would sooner be in rhe Northern League without them than where we are. While we're at it I'd like to see a complete trade embargo with Saudi and I'd like it to be worldwide. It's not just Newcastle that are dealing with them, our government provide them with weapons to kill Yemeni citizens. There are folks here who support that government. It's not a defence of NUFC to point this out. KSA are a vile regime and the world needs to shun them. It will cost jobs and niney, but so what. There's no excuse. Cut them off from the world, let's see how long they survive eating sand and drinking oil.
How refreshing and well said marra.

Well said.

P.S we would have had knackers going on pathetic as would all clubs but just nowhere near as many.

Think the NE journalists, NE MPs and the vile petition didnt help.
You're right, Newcastle aren't unique in having some wanker fans, but we do seem to have a disproportionate number. In my view it started properly when we were everyone's "second favourite team" back in the Keegan era. Some people liked that, but I hated it. How condescending. They treated us like a novelty, and didnt like it when we refused to go away at the end of our alloted time in the spotlight. I personally don't give a shit what the fans of any other team think of us. I didn't care when they liked us, care even less now we're hated. There are loads of Newcastle fans against the Saudi takeover, but you won't hear much from them. Instead you'll hear from the likes of Steve Wrsith and other prize specimens. Unfortunately there's plenty to choose from. I won't actively support this regime, but come kick off time I will always want the team to win. That will never change, but I'm ashamed of tje people who run my club and some of the people who claim to support it.

“That bar at SJP should not be renamed after him and that statue should be tarred and feathered.”

"Your mate broke the solid team left by Rafa – time you admitted it Alan.

Ashley was impossible to work for yet your mate was happy to take the £m knowing he would fail and make us worse into the bargain."

What solid team is he on about? The same freaking defense

‘Their reporters in the North-East have fallen over themselves in their fawning to the Saudis and their welcome to a regime that murders journalists.
Would you not be less than gracious to them if you were a journalist given the Saudis track record of *correcting* people in said profession?

They will stay up imo just on the basis they have winnable home games coming up and they will through silly money at the likes of Lingard in January.

If they go into January, in the relegation zone with a mountain to climb (which is very possible) no decent players are going to sign in January. Or those that do will be on sill money and long contracts, which will bite Newcastle on the arse if they go down.

They have every chance of dropping

f***ing hell. So they make a big flag , with very little on it, but they decide that one of the prominent landscapes of Newcastle is now a mosque!
So Newcastle is now synonymous with mosques! Their fans make me want to vomit.
As you say, sportswashing at its finest
Dont think its Newcastle, its obviously been put there by the South Shields supporters branch FTM

They could pay a lot to loan a few good players. That way they don’t need to worry about staying if they drop.

I think everyone is overlooking something huge. Yes Newcastle have a lot of money, but so do Man City and Chelsea (man Utd and Liverpool do too) they don’t have the same appeal as the top teams in the league.
Buying the titled isn’t easy. It’s at least a 10 year project. They

Well according to Lineker on Match of Day they'll be "laughing in 5 years time, when they're top of everything" the smarmy jug eared gonk.

Spot on and fair play marra, rivalry aside it’s a shame anyone has had to walk away because of what modern football and your club had become.

Like you I stopped watching the PL ages ago, helps when we dropped out of it but even when there I only attended Sunderland games… refuse to pay for Sky which set the game on this slippery slope.

No chance.
nust to break into the top 4 (regularly) will take at least 5 years.
They have to survive this year (they will)
Build a team that isn’t a relegation candidate (year 2)
Push for Europe (year 3-4)
Only then, they can attract great players.
Then try and push for CL spot (another year or 2) they have to force another one of the top 4 out of that spot regularly. Then attract players that can compete in the CL and the PL.
in all that time they’ll still have the year 2,3,4,5 players on contracts. Yes “money is no object” but it kinda is when it comes to FFP and also getting a European ban etc

They still desperately want Bouncy back. One comment yesterday was they could go and pay Everton whatever it takes to get him however "as a man of principle" he would want to see his contract out there first. So get someone in until Rafas contract expires.

2 things:
Why would any manager join them knowing the FSW is waiting in the wings?

Secondly as a "man of principle" I'm sure he wouldn't join the murderers as surely his principles are gone if he does?

This shows a massive self entitlement and delusion. They truly believe every manager and player wants to join them. It's f***ing crackers man.

They’ll not class him as a real Geordie like wor Rafa now 🤣Bruce never made it to Geordie status as he was never liked

It’s the Spanish city at Whitley bay sea front you knacker.

Granted it’s not in Newcastle either, it’s firmly in the heart of north tyneside thank you very much. I could be wrong as well but there’s a pit wheel on there, the closest pit I know of to newcastle is probably killingworth (again north tyneside) yet the most famous pit north of the Tyne is probably woodhorn at ashington (Northumberland) think they’ve now stolen that piece of history also
Spanish City isn't Newcastle, they've co-opted a plausible lie to appease their ISIS overlords. f***ing scum.

It’s also incredibly condescending and deluded to think every other club will just lay down and let them win everything.

There will be tightening up of FFP / sponsorship as we are seeing. The other big problem is, there is a relatively small pool of elite players.

You’ve got.. City, Chelsea, Man Utd, PSG, Juve. That’s excluding the likes of Liverpool, the Spanish giants I could go on… all in competition to sign them.

The vast majority of top flight clubs have billionaire owners.
