Shameful behaviour from *some* of our fans today

just for balance, the rotherham fans in that corner seemingly led by the nitwit in the bizarre jester outfit spent nearly all game chucking abuse at the away fans. i noticed the bloke with the red stone island top was with his kids. they were sitting a block away and he would go down to them then back up to his mates to join in the goading of our fans.

edit, i'm just pointing out there was arseholes on both sides.

Saw this too, embarrassing on so many levels. There were kids and families on both sides of the fence and as stated once they ripped the fence down they just stood there like lemons!
Also saw a group of lads openly snorting cocaine in the toilets at half time.
 
Half time, lads giving the young lass shit behind the bar, shouting calling her a f***ing slag coz they were slow. Loads of their nut yesterday but it’s nowt new, always been that way and every club has them.
 
Thing that winds me up about some of this lot that follow our club is that they come out in force at games like this where it is not too far to travel, big games and so on. I don't understand how they get tickets as you don't see them at less attractive away games and tickets for yesterday were like gold dust

Hate crime has increased every year since figures came in (as well as the population has increased. Hate crime due to religion increased over 100% in the 4 yrs rom 2012-2016 and less than 100% in the 4 yrs following brexit from 2016 to 2020, so looking at that specifically, you could use these stats to say that religious hate crime has decreased since brexit! ...(I'm not saying that btw, just figures can be used lots of ways, and the actual amount went up more after 2016, just the % increase reduced)
Terrorism and brexit possibly made significant jumps, maybe also improved relations between minority groups and the police so increased reporting. Maybe a far more diverse population so more people who can report hate crimes. Theres lots of causal factors and using brexit was a cheap media way to get clicks and an easy way for the remainers to get self righteous.

Sexual orientation hate crime increased the most. far more than race and religion. Is this brexit too? Maybe we're just becoming a shitter society.
Maybe we should leave this shit for the politics board though...

Supporters branches.
Tickets from mates who are not going.
People who have executive boxes/corporate areas get there hands on lots of tickets to dish out to anyone.
People on here who whore out there season card number to any random person

When I used to go away in the late '80s and early '90s, I don't remember this sort of bell end behaviour wherever we played.

Fast forward to late '90s early 2000's when I was still going away; and a load of charvers are being arseholes with a couple of lasses serving beer out of a kiosk in the ground. Generally smashing things and intimidating them to the point the coppers came down and closed the kiosk so no one could get a beer. They were led by a lad twice their age. It was the first time I'd noticed this type of idiot behaviour when following Sunderland. Think it was the 3-3 cup match away at Blackburn.

2012 to 2016 hate crime increased by 50%. 2016 to 2020 by 100%. How is this 10x the figure?


And the % increase in religious hate crime went down in the 4 years after brexit than prior to brexit. Good old brexit, helping religious devision!

Terrorism obviously one. Increased police awareness, minority awareness and minority groups feeling they can go to the police and aware how to report is another.

The biggest % increase by far in hate crimes is disability/ sexual orientation and transgender.
By far. Brexit has fuck all to do with these, so it's fairly obvious other causal factors come into play.
As said, the increase in race crime was a way for the papers to click bait the remainers.

I have to say it’s refreshing to see the amount of people on here condemning the actions of the mindless minority. If you really feel the need for a fight go and join an amateur boxing club.
