I couldnt even contemplate some of the horrors you’ve seen, and I don’t pretend I could even begin to stomach it, any rescue service, fire, paramedic, police have my full respect.

accidents or one off awful incidents are bad enough, but there is no accident with this lot, it’s murder, pure and simple.
Im just sickened
To think someone can do that to another human on purpose sickens me. I feel shit accidentally stepping on a snail ffs. This is where top flight football is now. Supporting your shithouse wealthy owners first, club second.

Great points Janey, the thing I’m still find astonishing is there has been little or no condemnation of the behaviour of their fan base from decent, ordinary mags.

Imagine being sat or stood next to someone at the match with a tea towel or a in mock Arab dress at the match.

There is no way any other fanbase would go on line these daft knackers have, absolutely embarrassing and no one in their support is willing to call it out.
If even just one person said "I'm not into politics and I'm turning a bit of a blind eye to these new owners in hope of a successful football team. However can understand concerns over Saudis and I'm embarrassed by idiots wearing towels on their heads. As for people comparing Hillsborough to Newcastle "struggles", then they can get flecked!"
But we see nothing but "worrabout Disney and Qatar 2022?"

Queen Amanda and the mags are deeply upset about it!
Staveley won’t be happy as the purpose is to sportswash. She’ll have told them it will have a positive reflection of them by investing into a football club. Banners, chants of murders and protests at games will have a negative impact on them and MBS and she wouldn’t want that in the fear they stop funding and flog them.

Spot on. Like I said before, they'd be better off not saying anything at all, but they can't help themselves.

I’ve tried to steer clear of most of this. But I’m actually more annoyed that anyone can class this as racist full stop. If anything the complaint should be more about slander (if these statements are u true)
If the racism is to do with a man with a keffiya waving a sword about then point the finger at those with tea towels on their heads which I feel was far worse.
I think we are looking at things far worse than sportswashing. Let PIG dispute the statements made as slanderous not racist

Disappointing that the police have even issued a statement tbh. There's nothing racist about the banner whatsoever. It seems pretty much spot on. Really hope other clubs are allowed to display similar ; it'll be a sad day for the country if people are told to stop criticising a barbaric, tyrannical regime. Maybe they should start by not being such a set of c unts
I don't think anyone is stopping people from criticising any brutal regime. The 'facts' whether we like it or not are that the EPL agreed that PIF is separate to the state. However much we disagree and all know it isn't, that's the 'fact'.

This banner, therefore implies that all people from Saudi Arabia are guilty of these crimes and that is discriminatory and racist - they aren't.

This takeover is already spreading hatred. One fella on a thread on here earlier stated he hated all Arabs or words even worse but to that effect which was removed.

A fine post.

I’ve done a lot of soul searching over this. I was genuinely jealous initially, at the idea of their vast wealth, as we all know you need that to compete at the top. I’ve had to educate myself around the Saudi regime. Having done that I’m now at peace. I couldn’t support Sunderland with that type of backing and I won’t be hurt if Newcastle start to be successful. I genuinely believed that we as two sets of fans were very similar and that some of the rivalry was overblown. But the classless way they’ve gone on, the posturing about cash, club back, no one understands, ad infinitum, has turned me. Their entitlement knows no shame.
I have a great dislike for Newcastle United now. I wish them complete failure and feel that is what they deserve as a collective fan base.

Or to put it another way- Fuck them.
