I've learned that Everton allowing a 1.8 million spend to sign Gray, Townsend and Rondon is Everton giving Benitez the freedom to sign his own team.

Whereas Ashley allowing a 140 million spend to sign players including er Townsend and Rondon was restricting Benitez to sign his own team.

Basically said he was unsure about the Saudis intentions. Got out of football when the Abramovich money came in and said it was "dirty money" - said money is killing football.
Said Ashley went wrong straight away by bringing in the cockney mafia and he lost the fans from that moment - especially Wise (who he said has "history" with mag fans? - the horrible bastard has probably got history with most clubs fans tbh).
The vicar came on and his first sentence was along the lines on "Welcome to Newcastle and our team is the richest in the world" - Hall jumped straight in and told him to cool his jets. He just doesn't think that all this money in football is doing any good - said they've bought the club just purely as an investment, paid £300m, spend a billion and it will be worth 2-3 billion.

Newcastle hasn't won a game this season and needs to start pretty damn sharpish. Again, surely they had all this planned beforehand? this takeover has been on the cards for at least a year.

Saudi is known for slow decision making. In all my dealings with the middle east staff have very little empowerment to make decisions. No doubt the new HE is fitting the mags in around PIF business.
