Samuel absolutely spot on here mind.

What aboutism probably isn't helpful but he has a point i think that many critics are really just upset at how rich NUFC is rather than upset aboit the human rights.

The thing that gets me is that some, though certainly not all, in the media are having a crack at fas (who don't have the power to approve or block takeovers) rather than having a crack at the actual people in power (govt, premier league). Punching down rather than up.

And Moyes is doing alright at West Ham. Both are way past their best, and these days nothing more than shite fair weather managers who can’t handle the intensity of the north east. They’re alright in certain ‘comfy’ situations, but take them out of their comfort zone and they’re completely out of their depth. Benitez gets a free pass for being shite because he used to be someone, and you lot all hated Ashley so much.

Bruce is Bruce, he’s shite. Benitez is pretty much almost as shite these days, but has that big name reputation, as so many have already said.
If you honestly think Benitez is as shite a manager as Steve Bruce then I think you need a lie down.

All very well but 97% of Mags fans voted in favour of this 18 months ago and have pushed and pushed so they wanted it more than anyone.

Well said. Now it is "we can't choose our owners". I have followed PIF on Linkedin and Twitter for sometime, after I did some work with them. Then all of a sudden every post is followed by Mags begging them to be taken over. Admittedly Marseille and Inter fans soon did the same thing. The huge majority in polls, the Saudi flags on social media, the visits to PL HQ and parliament square, writing letters to MP's, the what about Disney, they already sponsor Man Utd, F1, Boxing etc. made it abundantly clear that PIF would be welcomed with open arms. Now it is "When will you give up"?

I'd have been interested to have seen a survey of Newcastle fans to see if they'd prefer the Saudi bid, the Orleggi group, or some US Billionaire.

I certainly wouldn't say Bruce is as good as benitez, if I had to choose for Sunderland it would be benitez every time. That being said I don't think the job he did at Newcastle was good enough, or better than Bruce enough, to warrant the seemingly endless adulation from the Newcastle fans whilst Bruce is pretty much seen as the worst manager of all time
