Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! Must be over run down there. I used to grouse beat at catterick for all the officers and they loved a fox getting killed. ‘Well done beeeeeteeers’ in the poshest voice ever would greet us.It’s your turn now after that comment
Those numbers however are mostly with a shotgun and no more than 30yds
We had them along time ago. I bet they are loads better nowadays. Do you visit the night vision forum? Been a while since I was on like.I’ve just bought some thermal imaging and it’s a game changer
It’s never the intention to hurting it as I’m not fit enough to chase it. It’s the intention for it to drop where it stoodIf this is your method of ending their lives, then I don't have a problem with it tbh. As long as the animal doesn't suffer.
You just don’t like Ruperts do ya Understandable.Going on land to help our farmers I have no issues with, it’s the jolly boys outing I hate and yea that lot are usually up their own arse I’ve seen it first hand in the forces people in positions for who they know and not what they know. Fact is the bloke who’s been found guilty is one of them, I have said hunting as a sport should be banned but not sanctioned hunts to help farmers on their lands. Every animal can be seen as a pest to someone.
my main issue is the hunts with the dogs but like stated i understand why other hunts happen.these are total
Cowards and up their own arses
My near neighbours have seen one going down the side of my house and onto the drive on their security cameras..i'd noticed some footprints in the fresh snow last winter..was weird because there was only two footprints side by side..according to my neighbours when a fox walks it's back foot goes into the footprint that the forward one just made..so there you go.There's a fox comes along my garden wall about half 9 or 10 every night. We leave food out for him (or her) all the time. Fried potatoes for him (or her) tonight.
It's nice to be nice.
Using terriers to flush and then push to 3-4 guns. Some get through mind as they are very quick and very agile. Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! Must be over run down there. Don’t know what makes you think thatYou just don’t like Ruperts do ya Understandable.
Every day is a school day.My near neighbours have seen one going down the side of my house and onto the drive on their security cameras..i'd noticed some footprints in the fresh snow last winter..was weird because there was only two footprints side by side..according to my neighbours when a fox walks it's back foot goes into the footprint that the forward one just made..so there you go.
It’s like they are living out there fantasy of charging over the top with the boys!!!! I get you now pal.Don’t know what makes you think that
I know I’m a massive hypocrite on this thread telling people what hunting should be but it’s just the bastards with the horses and dogs grind on me.
Ive never hidden my dislike of the Urban fox on here. They need exterminating. They don't belong in that environmentIt’s your turn now after that comment

I live over the river from you I think?I saw one last night in the street, and one today dead on the road in Staines, they are everywhere locally.Ive never hidden my dislike of the Urban fox on here. They need exterminating. They don't belong in that environment
But you would rather them killed humanly with a single shot to the head other than hunted and tortured.Ive never hidden my dislike of the Urban fox on here. They need exterminating. They don't belong in that environment
22/250 for me. Dead flat for ½ a mile.With a .22 about 80m with a High velocity round.
ive not shot a fox with my .243 yet as I’m normally out for deer with that and shooting a fox would scare the deer but it would be good and accurate at over 1/2 mile if I was any good
Shoot foxes.
It’s illegal to hunt foxes with hounds
So the lad was right then? If any rules were broken they would be seen through straight away. Which they were and the person guilty of it was prosecuted and dealt with. A stark warning to any other hunts attempting this. The rules work. Move on.You went a bit quiet on the other thread where you were claiming that trail hunts were just that because it was illegal and if it were a smokescreen it would soon be seen through - and then the evidence of the zoom calls that led to this trial showed it was exactly that. I think they even used the word smokescreen at some point.
Over and over again, hunts deliberately flouting the law and lying to the world that they are just trail hunting. But now they've been seen for what they are and what they do. Only sad thing is that they've got away with it for years.
You won’t find anyone against these hunts as much as me mate but they are being caught and being punished I mean strong jail sentences will help for me but we are moving forward to ban hunting with hounds and as a blood sport. You went a bit quiet on the other thread where you were claiming that trail hunts were just that because it was illegal and if it were a smokescreen it would soon be seen through - and then the evidence of the zoom calls that led to this trial showed it was exactly that. When I was a child we had loads of Hedgehogs, Skylarks and Curlews living in large numbers alongside Badgers prior to the culls.
New research is suggesting that culling actually increases the incidence of bovine TB. IIRC they're moving to inoculation.
Miss treating, force feeding, neglect is far more common within the food/meat industry. You find that people who shoot for sport have already gave the bird/ animal a sporting chance. For example pheasants live a great life until the moment they are shot whilst a chicken is force fed. Forced to grow in squalid conditions the slaughtered upside down hanging from their feet.
No, not at all, and you obviously aren't aware of any of the background to what we're talking about. So the lad was right then? If any rules were broken they would be seen through straight away. Which they were and the person guilty of it was prosecuted and dealt with. A stark warning to any other hunts attempting this. The rules work. Move on.
I didn’t want to comment on the pending trial and I was surprised the post didn’t get pulled to be honest . But, snitches get stitches so I didn’t report it either. You went a bit quiet on the other thread where you were claiming that trail hunts were just that because it was illegal and if it were a smokescreen it would soon be seen through - and then the evidence of the zoom calls that led to this trial showed it was exactly that. I understand.Food supply is changing and Badgers are moving out further.
A set near me they are travelling near on a mile for farm pickings under darkness.
Curlew nesting places here are doing well, with no badgers in the vicinity.
Crows are controlled however.
Most dead badgers on the road are not road kill but farmers disposing of the bodies after gassing sets. Sad but factual.
We have a couple of Pheasants as residential pets
They know they are safe here. Get fed every day and roost in the trees to avoid the foxes. The daft Lab likes chasing them off, tail wagging and it’s almost like they know he isn’t a threat.
Virtually feed one out of my hand. Would never dream of shooting them as would feel extremely guilty.
