If you look at the stats & detail though its very different. Benitez was far more organised & the dull football was really pragmatism linked to having a Championship squad. Bruce is all over the place & has ASM, Wilson & Willock.
Correct that end result was same but how they both got there was very different.
Are you still pretending to be one of us or are you not bothering anymore?

It’s becoming increasingly clear that this takeover is very haphazard. I notice with Sky Bet that Frank Lampard is seemingly back in the running. They’ve known they were taking over the club for years and there’s no clear plan In place. This lot could be worse for them than Ashley.

Its not too long ago that the fans of Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea stopped the advent of the European Super League. They could have gained from it but they knew instinctively that it was wrong. We now have new owners of a Premier League who's crimes outweigh any other owner by miles and miles. The outrage at the killing of Khashoggi was worldwide and was no virtue signalling and the man who ordered this murder now owns you club. How any right thinking person can be comfortable with this is beyond me.

You are clearly a good poster but what appear to be increasingly desperate attempts to justify your acceptance of these new owners (and bizarrely the acceptance by a Newcastle MP who has protested in Parliament about the same people's abject human rights record) does you no credit at all. Football is finally showing some morals whether its the fans bringing down of the European Super League, the drowning out of any boos for taking the knee by fans applause or the approach of the England football team and Marcus Rashford. You fans open armed welcome of murderers puts you in stark contrast and the shame will not be forgotten.

And as a final point you say you can show disgust if the club is badly run but you don't see the need to show disgust if your owners are such brazen murders. How on earth does that work.
And I do not doubt that if they had been in with a sniff of this ESL they would have been all over it like a rash. Delusional, desperate fuckwits.

Not sure what your agenda is here, I was asked a question, which I answered, I have made no comments on the owners, what they are, or what they have done....

You seem to want to argue this point, and good on you, but I don't want to be dragged into it....

Of course you don't want to be dragged into it, because at that point you would have to explain or justify your support for this regime.
You may say at that point, as most of you have, that you don't support the regime, but you do, every time you buy a ticket.
You can't pick and chose the bits you like, and the bits you don't and expect to be taken seriously.

Translates roughly as " Not my fault Guv. Blame all the others first".

Of course you don't want to get dragged into it. Who would? But you have expressed an opinion on a message board and that will lead to people questioning you. You have stated 'oh well, protesting does nowt'. Well, I have shown very clearly that recent protests by Manu Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal fans have had a massive effect on a major development. My agenda is quite clear - I am appalled at the lack of outrage/protest/disappointment from your fans at such horrendous owners. We have a thread about this and your response is a rather pathetic - 'I don't see the point of protesting'. If you don't want to get dragged into it don't come on this thread with such insipid defence of your own moral ambivalence, don't come on a Sunderland message board etc. You want to come on this thread and don't want to make comments on the new owners? How does that work? Don't respond to this. Don't come up with anymore excuses as to why you won't protest. If you come on here you will be asked time after time where you stand on the new owners.

Martin Samuel has a dig at the Newcastle fans in his column which is let down by the fact he says Sunderland don't have a billionaire owner to save them

All that research to tenuously link Abramovich to Putin. Is he shady? Yes. Did he get his money is dubious circumstances? Yes. Has he murdered a journalist who questioned him? No. Does he run a regime which chemically castrates gay men? No. They do know the massive difference but are desperately hoping this outrage will go away so they can enjoy the blood money. It won't.

Wow...just wowow
That article is abhorrent.
I can't believe they printed it.

'MSB and the Saudis are evil, but someone once said that abromovich was putins puppet and therefore no one should be able to have a go at Newcastle and the fact we are overjoyed that one of the most evil dictators in the world (who many of our fans wore masks of his) is our owner'
More or less
